Thanks for this! I am going to report a mod I just had stolen and that thief is refusing to respond to questions after I slayed his excuse with cold hard evidence.

I've been a long time fan of mods for Bethesda games, ever since I started on Oblivion. I praise my favorite creators such as aplestormy and ThirteenOranges, and would be ashamed for them or any other author to have their work stolen. I support the effort shown here before us.

I just found this looking at someone's profile on Nexus. Since I recently upoaded my own mod to Nexus, and with all the mods created for the games in both places, I have to say I fully support this effort. You can count me in.

Modding is the life blood of this game , it brought me to Bethesda 15 + years ago and if the modders leave , it will be very bad for all Bethesda games and Steam/Valve this sort of this cannot be tolerated . If modders were to give up on modding and companies like Bethesda were to suffer because of it , then they would have to rethink the idea of hosting their games under this Steam construct and thats bad for your business . There are a lot of companies that look at the Bethesda business model related to player modding and are trying to figure ways to get in on it , last thing you want is to gain a rep as an unsafe haven for modders.

waaaaah why did someone repost the free content I made for a game I didn't make waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

I am in full support of all good modders

Signed it. Modding is what keeps these games alive. If the mod authors go, the game goes with them. Power to the modding community!

Sad tbh, wake up Bethesda.

I will sign support for this crucial task of cleaning up the steam workshop of corrupt files/mods and also those that have a tendency to reupload such mods/files, and for the reasons posted above, but also those voiced by athenap333 . GOOD LUCK, I HOPE THIS WILL FOLLOW THORUGH TILL STEAM DEVOTES ITSELF TO SUCH ISSUES. :)

Signed hoping it will help I really appreciate all the work modders do it made the game something I can use to take my mind of the pain I am in. If I am having a bad night looking for and installing a good mod helps me so much. I cannot thank you all enough I wish I could each and everyone of you a box of chocs for all your work. It means I take less Morphine therefore prolonging my life and the fact of upping my dose more frequently. I really can't thank you enough.

Also if we are going on abut how badly managed this site is for heavans sake can somone persuade Steam to lift the restriction on fil size uploads. I personally hate the nexus being a complete cluts at mod installation. I know it's a seperate issue but it's not helping as it's forcing a lot of the top modders of the workshop.
Sara Kay 11 Jul, 2014 @ 12:17pm
Agreed. Without people like yourself Skyrim would be an ok game not the absoloutly brilliant game that i have grown to love. Is there any easy way of identifying stolen content so I can avoid it? I generally don't install anything with less than a 3 star rating wich helps a bit but it's no garuntee.

Hey is this still active and stuff? Erm, anyways, there's this one Russian guy, uploads mods of many multiple mod authors but never noted anything about permission, ugh, maybe this should be inquired? http://cs2bus.com/id/Wehrwolfmann/myworkshopfiles/?appid=72850

Any modder that steals a mod made by someone else and publishes it as their own is more trashy and disgusting than a big wig who turns a blind eye to suffering they can stop and just lets it continue. THEY ARE WORSE THAN POND SCUM!

Signed. Mods are basically the biggest reason I play Skyrim, they just make it so much more interesting when you've done pretty much every "major" questline. If I had to get rid of all of my mods and never be able to use them ever again, I would quit playing Skyrim forever. The original game itself is just not enough when you've seen pretty much everything of the game. I'm definitely not saying that the game is bad, just that you get bored of it when you're "done" and it gets less interesting, especially for people like me who can't really afford to buy any of the DLC's.
Modders should have the right to own the mods they themselves created, right? So sign this!

Signed. You modders doing this has extended the life of Skyrim far beyond its natural playability. Some mods, in fact, have become literally indispensable for me - I won't play the game without them. You deserve protection for your hard work and the support of the company who made a product you clearly love.
Bravo to you all and thank you, thank you, thank you. You have enhanced my leisure time immesurably.

Signed. You guys aren't making the games playable for years. You lot are making the games (in my case Skyrim) awesome for years. Was just about done with Skyrim when I heard about a marry Serana mod that I had to have. Stopped using my 360 copy (which had Dawnguard and Hearthfire) and bought Skyrim and the Dawnguard dlc for the PC. Thanks for all the awesome work.
