this was fun!

Order out of Chaos might have been a better name for this one, lol. At first I was pissed off, but as others have mentioned, I also slowly began to see what I had to do to get going.

I liked it!!!! antlines defintly helped.

Room was dark.... ether needed more light.. or make more squares portalable

Great level! However, although it was probably the look you were going for, I feel like the first room was too dark, but I enjoyed the challenge.

Quite fun watching the chaos. Didn't see what to do at first then it slowly dawned. Thank you for the antlines. Would have been lost without them. Enjoyed the slow ride out to the white room. Whew! Good map well done.

This was a fun chamber. In the beginning I thought all I had to do was watch. But after 20 seconds passed I got bored and started looking around. Then I noticed the switches in the chaos. But even though the puzzle was easy, the dark element and the multiple holes in the ceiling added to the puzzle. Overall I enjoyed it.

Forgot to say that Gravity Funnel ride almost felt like I was stuck and then the last room was cool. Great Job!

This isn't a hard map. It is a random chaos map.

Try my map?

Overall a good map. It feels a little crowded in the first room with all the signal lines going everywhere but if that's what you inteneded then great. It makes it feel more difficult then it actually is.
Krayne 31 Aug, 2013 @ 4:57pm
I like it. Very interesting concept. The first room wasn't all that complicated. Although it looked like it when you walk in and there are signs everywhere. Walking into the last room was a relief from dark moving objects to white portable surfaces. Nice balance. Well done

Fixed a minor shortcut in the last room. Thanks for playing everyone.

Nice map, the fact there are so many spheres is quite surprising. So surprising that i stayed stuck for quite a too long time :D
drumcoaster 30 Aug, 2013 @ 3:14pm
Did everything, died right after I stood on top of the open exit door. Fun though!
HillHouseDude 29 Aug, 2013 @ 4:25pm
That was the crziest level I've EVER played O_O It was awesome though
ram ranch 29 Aug, 2013 @ 9:45am
Cool test! I really found the experience quite challenging yet not too hard. However getting that cube on the button took somewhat of a miracle.
Akiva 26 Aug, 2013 @ 2:40pm
Not exactly the most elegant or most challenging map...
DropTheDodongo 22 Aug, 2013 @ 8:18pm
Alright, I figured it ou-wait what's this?
Focused Bokeh 20 Aug, 2013 @ 3:15pm
My suggestion would be to add some more light in the first room, since it was so dark it was hard to see the faith plates and made it a bit anoying trying to move around. On the other hand it was a very very unique and well thought out test. Thanks for making it!
MrLothar 16 Aug, 2013 @ 10:42am
easy test. bouncy stuff makes me happy :)
Linking-Yellow 14 Aug, 2013 @ 7:48pm
That was confusing.
kwyjibo 1981 21 Jul, 2013 @ 8:59pm
That was far and away the most fun level I've played.
nicklonium  [author] 12 Jul, 2013 @ 8:57am
How bizarre, that never happened way back when I was testing this chamber a year ago and I really tested this chamber because it was my first and I wanted to get it right. All the cube/ball droppers should be on auto respawn, once in a while they'd bounce back up the tubes in the ceiling so I had to put fizzlers up each. Presumably, because the cube disappeared rather than fizzled, it didn't trigger the auto respawn, it's a bit weird but it seems like a one off glitch.
dpcmax 12 Jul, 2013 @ 8:22am
I love the sheer chaos of the beginning! One word of warning, I had to restart the level because I managed to eject one of the cubes from the level (through the wall, probably my fault, not yours) and the button would not respawn another.

Glad you had fun, I don't think I've ever seen someone type (or say, for that matter) the word geepers. If you plan on playing any more of the chambers in my collection, you might want to avoid Sulphur and Cobalt. If you found this tricky, you'll find those two really hard, the rest are all similar difficulty to this though and I'm particularly interested on feedback on my most recently published chamber, Magnesium, which I posted this morning.
Whisper 11 Jul, 2013 @ 10:23am
oh geepers, that was tricky. Loved it, though!

Hey, this is the Author of Blue Gel Nightmare. I read your comment just a little bit ago, so I tried your map, yours is much better. Thanks for the good suggestion and map, and your series looks good. Well made nicklonium.

I know item limits are fun huh?
nicklonium  [author] 25 Jun, 2013 @ 3:15am
That was pretty much it, I was battling with the item limit due to the chaos below and I wanted something clean and simple to contrast with the previous room. Glad you enjoyed playing through it.
jjcaustic 25 Jun, 2013 @ 12:02am
Really fun map, enjoyd playing it, didn't take long to figure out and after a while the faith plates became more of a nuesance than anything.
Not sure how level was supossed to end but I used the exersion funnel to scootch across the room until I made the exit. Was this intended or is it simply an oversight?
Additionally, I feel like the last room's opening device was slightly comical due to its sheer simplicity compared to the room prior.
jjcaustic 23 Jun, 2013 @ 8:17pm
Am I the only one OCD enough to clean every ball and place it in the funnel before moving on?
tacticalBOVINE 17 Jun, 2013 @ 11:20pm
HAHA that shit CRAY! i really enjoyed this one. there was a lot going on and it all just turned the chamber enjoyable. awesome chamber man! i did see an issue in mine where one of the spheres was bouncing around in the vertical part where the light beam was supposed to go and occasionally blocked it which caused some problems but it was a minor issue

Perfect map. Not too long, not too challenging and a nice mix of thinking with doing.
Blue 9 Jun, 2013 @ 5:36pm
What a wonderfull mess xD The chamber makes me smile hehe. Just one thing about the final room. It is possible to walk over the start/end points of fizzlers. You can walk your way to the exit by portalling on the fizzler and simply walk, could easily be fixed by rotating it 90 degrees!
Tested all your rooms now, The first was was terrible (or maybe i was just so retarded that i simply didn't get it), then it got better room by room, this one i like the most!
SkyRoots 8 Jun, 2013 @ 10:29pm
Catch the cube!!!! That was tremendously fun.
portalenthusiast 24 Aug, 2012 @ 5:42pm
After reading a few of the comments on this level, I was very scared to give it a try, because I usually hate chaotic levels. But this map was awesome! It was so well designed, and the chaos was completely intentional. I thought it was really funny having all these balls and cubes bouncing around. And there was a good order to how things were supposed to be completed. And I loved the contrasting calm room, with a little tricky puzzle involved as well.

Please give my new map a try and tell me what you think!

Well, this level was a little crazy. I havn't tried your other levels, so I don't know if this is your regular style. I thought the bouncing balls made the level a bit chaotic, and kinda gave me a headache, but this is a personal preference. Overall, I think it was well made, and very unique, just not for me.
nicklonium  [author] 19 Aug, 2012 @ 11:14am
Nice idea, added it this morning. When I first published it, I recall being on (or at least ±5) the entity limit so I wasn't sure I could add too much, that grating is a nice little touch though.
Kexx 18 Aug, 2012 @ 11:54pm
2nd room.
nicklonium  [author] 18 Aug, 2012 @ 2:06am
A lot of them are going through a bit of a revamp at the moment thanks to some great feedback and the recent update. Bizarrely, Hydrogen is the one I'm least proud of. I recently realized I published the wrong Caesium file, not to mention the recent update has messed with the way tractor beams conflict so I've had to make a lot of changes in that one. Strontium will probably go through similar changes once I get round to it.
Good to know you got the concept behind this one, which entrance are you referring to? When you first enter the tractor beam or when you use the tractor beam in the second room?
Kexx 17 Aug, 2012 @ 7:54pm
First off, I played like 4 or 5 previous of your maps, liked all but one, but their links are broken and I can't reach their workshop pages so I could leave you feedback! I really liked them, Lithium and Hydrogen were awesome. Caesum not so much.

Now, onto this one: Helium. I wasn't too fond of it, but I think its a matter of taste and nothing else, because it's well designed. I did enjoy the contrast of mayhem in the bottom and a cool calm up top, and while the puzzle below wasn't too hard, something just didn't click with me. There's just too much going on, but maybe that's what you were going for, to add to the chaos. Now, up top, too easy. My recommendation would be to put grating on the entrance face of the funnel, so we really have to ride the wave to the exit.
