Which sphere dropper had the problem? It's happened a couple of times previously with the dropper in the ceiling, it's an unfortunate glitch caused by the player standing on the pressure button too many times too quickly causing a sphere to spawn before the previous sphere has dropped. The one on the ceiling (immediately visible to the player) should be less problematic but it can still happen.

Something strange went on with the Edgeless Safety Cube Dropper, it isn't sopossed to be brim full right? Or is it?
Focused Bokeh 20 Oct, 2013 @ 8:11am
I see that it would be really hard to avoid this, but if I had one minor complaint it would be that with all the symbols and antlines I wasn't really sure what was going on. But other than that, I quite enjoyed it! If you're interested I started a new collection of tests that are small and fairly easy but consist of a single testing element. I'd apriciate your help! http://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=187333645 thanks~

Methodical but fun.

Good job. Big chamber. Good thing it was all portal surfaces to make gettting arond easy. Nice laser puzzle. Not too hard. Those turrets got lucky I couldn't get at them. Ha ha.Thanks for building it. On to the next one.
Here's one you'll like. Smoke and Mirrors
MachManX 20 Sep, 2013 @ 10:45pm
This was ok, but a few high jump into portal situations could've made this better. What I liked the most was the laser room. Though I would've loved to BURRN those turrets...lucky them.

Overuse of symbols resulted in recycling.

Try my map?

NIce chamber and interesting puzzle. I have no idea why, but the tunnel with the turrets reminded me of the Turret Opera at the end of the game
Krayne 31 Aug, 2013 @ 5:42pm
Brilliant! tunnel of turrets was a nice touch too
Spartan DL77 30 Aug, 2013 @ 9:29pm
nice
drumcoaster 30 Aug, 2013 @ 4:10pm
Love the design in this one. It was a work of art!
HillHouseDude 29 Aug, 2013 @ 6:28pm
It wasn't horrible, but it wasn't your best. The button pressing got a little crazy.
ZneX 26 Aug, 2013 @ 4:20pm
This was okay but not your best work. It had some great room layouts but the puzzles were not challenging enough. I love all of your other chambers - so far ;-)
Watermelon Pie 25 Aug, 2013 @ 3:06pm
Love it!
nicklonium  [author] 23 Aug, 2013 @ 11:57am
Weird, no matter how many times in quick succession I activate the first sphere dropper (with the funnel or by just holding it so the cube repeatedly twitches in the button while noclipping), I can't seem to replicate this, yet it's happened at least three times so far that I know of. I guess I could replace the cube button with a pressure button but, with no way of replicating the glitch, I won't know if it's made a difference at all.
DropTheDodongo 23 Aug, 2013 @ 11:34am
For me, it was the first dropper. It seems to happen when the box doesn't land flush with the button, causing it to activate multiple times in a burst. I really just think it's those box buttons.
nicklonium  [author] 23 Aug, 2013 @ 2:19am
How annoying, is it the sphere dropper the player activates before they go to the other side or the sphere dropper that activates after they come back to the entrance side of the chamber? For some reason I can't seem to replicate this glitch at all. I know it happens, it's happened to me before in other players chambers, but I've never been in a position to do something about it until now.
DropTheDodongo 22 Aug, 2013 @ 9:52pm
What the last guy said, but in English (I think). There's something with that darned Sphere dispenser where two of them get jammed in there and it'll only open long enough to let the bad one through. I think it's the box button that activates it. Those are kinda buggy, imo.
Fenia170 22 Aug, 2013 @ 2:57pm
el dispensador de bolas tiene fallas. pero en general esta bueno el mapa. gran trabajo.
Krikkit 14 Aug, 2013 @ 6:46am
I feel that this one ended fairly abruptly. It was still a fun chamber! I love the idea of a flipped-room on the other side. A little on the easy side, however.
nicklonium  [author] 9 Aug, 2013 @ 2:38pm
Thanks, bit odd you picked the chamber at the bottom of the list (i.e. my least favourite but somehow my most popular) but as long as you enjoyed it, that's the main thing.
I've finally got round to tinkering with the antlines and symbols in here, there's a couple of things I'm still not happy with but it's a lot less baffling than it was previously. Hopefully it all still makes sense, thanks for playing!
CrozB 9 Aug, 2013 @ 6:28am
Great puzzle! Definitely enjoyed this challenge. It took we awhile to even realize there is a second area (the section without portable walls). lol
kwyjibo 1981 22 Jul, 2013 @ 4:01pm
Great puzzle. Loved the traps. Will definitely watch the Test Chamber Junkie video.
nicklonium  [author] 9 Jul, 2013 @ 1:57am
Cool, as I mentioned on Xenon, it's always fun to watch players run through my chambers and to have you actually react to the chamber/semi-explain your thought process as you were going through is particularly interesting. It's a little unfortunate that you picked this one to run through, I think this was the third chamber I made and I still had a lot to learn so it's by no means my favourite or my best chamber but the fact you were entertained is the main thing I suppose. I really need to tinker with some of the antlines in here too, it's not exactly easy to follow at the moment.

Neat concept for chamber design but I can't help but feel as if the chamber was busy, as in lots of stuff going on at once. Good job nevertheless, the time games in the second room were interesting to work :)
Destr 7 Jul, 2013 @ 9:45am
Слишком много элементов. Хороший дизайн. нет главной загадки.
Tzaphqiel 3 Jul, 2013 @ 4:02pm
I only tried it 3 or 4 times, but it fizzled each time instead of dropping.
I figured that you didn't intentionally add that in, but I figured that it might be something you would want to know.
I'll try it again later and see if the problem has resolved itself.
nicklonium  [author] 3 Jul, 2013 @ 2:53pm
Repeatedly fizzle? Or does the ball eventually drop? Either way, I don't recall putting anything in the chamber that would cause such a problem so it might be a problem with game rather than something I can fix.
Tzaphqiel 3 Jul, 2013 @ 2:49pm
I think I found a bug: hitting the button that connects to the sphere dropper in the first room sometimes causes the sphere to fizzle in the dispenser instead of dropping the sphere.
nicklonium  [author] 1 Jul, 2013 @ 3:28am
I really wish there was a way to change the order of chambers in a collection. This isn't even my best chamber, just the one at the top so it's the main one players go for. If you're after a challenging chamber, I suggest Sulphur or Cobalt to a lesser extent. Particularly Sulphur which seems to have had a few issues since I published it.
This was never meant to be challenging. As the description of the collection says, the chamber is more of a concept chamber with a puzzle wrapped around it (in this case, hiding a room within two rooms simultaneously with a simple puzzle so the player sees it all).

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by motivation, Cheese. Correct me if I'm wrong but the motivation of every portal chamber is to solve the puzzle regardless of simplicity and open the exit door. No more, no less.
Prototype 30 Jun, 2013 @ 9:49pm
Felt like a game of find cube/put cube on button and repeat. Not a whole lot of thinking required and way too many cubes/buttons/antlines/signage. In general, if you can't follow the antlines/signage because there are too many, then the level just becomes find cube/find button to put cube on, with no real idea what each button will do and no thought involved.
Don't Need No Cheese 30 Jun, 2013 @ 2:56am
Tossed the cube into the button trap, got stuck. Considering the rest of the puzzle was just a set "find cube/ball, place in slot" sequences with practically no thought required to overcome, I wasn't too motivated to try again.
Solig 29 Jun, 2013 @ 6:04am
Way to much going on definitely not the type of map i enjoy maybe try making it a bit smaller but in more maps?
jrobertunder 27 Jun, 2013 @ 9:06pm
WOW, is right, some great ideas in here, that button trap almost had me.
jdr 27 Jun, 2013 @ 9:30am
Wow, that is intense! I had never thought of 'trapping' buttons.
Thanks for your great comment on Cube Party. I've now updated if you want to check it out!

Really Excellent map. Beautifully constructed. A little simple, but very enjoyable. Take a look at my newest map > DOOM < =D
8MMW 20 Jun, 2013 @ 3:50am
That was a great map. I usually hate those strange wall constructions, but this one had a good purpose. Also it's good that you found a good way of naming your maps, not like "<username>'s test chamber 001A". I wish I had that idea earlier about my maps :)
The only thing is that I got trapped when placing first cube in black section on button. Except for that, the rest of the map was great. Maybe a bit too big, but that's the cost for the surprise inside.
phoebemonster 18 Jun, 2013 @ 2:32pm
Thanks so much for your feedback on my map "Big Ball Problem". I took your advice and added another puzzle bit to use the second box towards the end, feel free to check it out if you want. http://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=153664339
I just played this map, Titanium--really cool! Very hard. Can't wait to check out the others.
tacticalBOVINE 17 Jun, 2013 @ 7:48pm
hey there man. Im the maker of vengeance 2.0 that you commented on the other day. if you missed my reply to that comment over there:

Thank you nicklonium for you imput. i really appreciate it. Unfortunately i couldnt add lighting or eye pleasers because I already had to cut back on the amount of items to make it buildable within the standard Portal builder. I have another chanmber that i made that is called "Vindictive" that I made shorter and therefore was able to adequately light and add aesthetics to. I have made note of your comments and will shorten the length of future chambers to make for a more enjoyable experience.

I just began looking at your series here and Titanium was very good. semi-challenging and enjoyable. i was a little bothered by the distance between the 2 rooms of the puzzle (though i understand that sometimes those distances are required) but other than that i was pleased with this chamber. ill check back in on the other installments of this series

Click the subscribe button above and it'll be added to your list of single player community chambers in Portal 2 next time you fire up Steam. The same button can be clicked on the Elementary collection page to add all 12 chambers to your queue.

Thx for your evaluation nicklonium. I dont know how you got to the top of the tower without using the portal wall you mentioned. can u explain? im gonna play more of your maps and try to comment on what i can
peabody 13 Jun, 2013 @ 12:19pm
Looks like a very cool chamber. My problem is the timed items in the second room , I can not get there in time. My problem not being able to do it. I always have trouble with timed events.
