Chef, we need a closed water purification system for odyssey!!!
Th3Espr3ss0 For 2 timer siden
Haven't used a gravship yet, how does water and sewage work in space?

I was wondering if there is any way to blacklist some of the Anomaly Creatures / Pawns from Bladder and Hygiene needs?
The 'Creepjoiners', as labelled in the games code, can spawn with the trait "Body Mastery", and no longer need food, sleep, or comfort.
It feels a bit weird for them to still have bladder and hygiene needs.

I'm getting the grid for ground water, so not sure what it is. Had to force research it via devtools. New Expansion pains
Dubwise  [ophavsmand] For 4 timer siden
if you aren't getting any ground water grid then its probably a mod conflict, i'm working on general fixes and integration with odyssey
Zombiexm For 10 timer siden
Pawns refuse to research Septic tanks when selected to be researched >.> switch to something else and they research but not Septic Tanks. :/
DestyNova For 13 timer siden
Would it be possible to make some smaller 1x1 or 1x2 septic tanks for grav ships? I find the normal 2x2 much too big for my ship and would love some smaller alternatives for a ship with a small crew.

At least you can convert feces into chemfuel to handle the space latrine... but yeah, a more long-term solution would be nice!
fester_21 For 17 timer siden
i also have ground water on 1.6 with odyssey, those that dont i would check for a mod conflict within your logs
brycepunk1 For 19 timer siden
1.6. The primitive well and regular wells can not be placed because there is no ground water.

(Thank you so much for this mod. It's one of three I consider essential.)
IrishBuckett For 20 timer siden
@play I'm in 1.6 w/ Odyssey and have underground water. Both the regular and deep wells work for me
play For 20 timer siden
don't have underground water (1.6)
how to fix?
SiaNKs For 21 timer siden
Swimming doesnt increase Hygiene stat. Checked multiple times with Odyssey
Yank For 23 timer siden
Sorry got confused in my testing. It's not dub that does that.

Somehow this mod changes all rooms with a storage (even without food on it) it a fridge room.

Supporting ideas about water storage/recycling and ice harvesting in space. Thank you for your job, it's must have mod for me. I cannot imagine my Rimworld without it
Filipino Goku 11. juli kl. 22:19
Water recycling+space ice harvesting/water harvesting from the planet sounds dope!
PKPenguin 11. juli kl. 22:12
Definitely would be interested in a water recycling mechanic as well, or some kind of architect water generator you can find.
Drunken Eagle 11. juli kl. 22:06
Im not a game designer per se, but I really hated that in SoS 2 you could just pull water out of your ass. Since gravships are much more groundbound than SoS ships, it would be, IMHO, better to not introduce water-out-of-your-ass mechanics and just add bigger indoor water tanks for now to encourage land bases for refueling/rewatering. Later, It would be cool to see ice comets to pull water from in space, for example.
RiceWizard 11. juli kl. 21:13
A must-have mod always for me. Would absolutely love if you added stuff to fit more with grave ships. Water tanks that look better on ships, between a water tower and a butt. Waste/water recycling. Maybe even smaller portable pumps that you can pick up when you go somewhere else? Water conservation and storage on gravships could be such a fun mechanic to play around.
Tomenator 11. juli kl. 20:51
This has been my all time favorite mod. Hoping with space now there will be an update for a water recycling system, closed loop.
Getting_Carried 11. juli kl. 16:37
Amazing mod, played with it so much I sometimes forget it's not vanilla. Thankyou so much for the mdo Dubwise.
@Sylphix True, the only thing that I can think would make sense for space is water filtration system, with a closed loop, but that would be a lot of work xd
PauloRaz3n 11. juli kl. 11:36
@Consigned Amazing
Sylphix 11. juli kl. 11:08
The mod so far works alright in space, though it doesn't make much sense that there's water deposits floating everywhere haha
KV4_EX 11. juli kl. 11:03
I can obtain water in space by using a pump in the subspace.:TeddyAngela:
Consigned to Oblivion 11. juli kl. 10:52
Hopefully we can get the reclamation system (or maybe some ice mining) to replenish water in space. For now all I can do is destroy a stack of silver and give myself a full water tank...
Tzyder 11. juli kl. 10:47
"i have the dlc now, testing and fixing" dont forget to poop!
Badsimulation 11. juli kl. 10:30
You are the best Dubwise, I'm excited to have to worry about my colonist's space poop.
ISawThisComing 11. juli kl. 10:24
Is anything going to be added in order to allow the grav ship to have a waste system?
Dubwise  [ophavsmand] 11. juli kl. 10:17
i have the dlc now, testing and fixing
Verdeth 11. juli kl. 10:12
an extra "space" module would be nice
billthebad 11. juli kl. 8:43
This is by far my favorite mod for Rimworld. I can't imagine playing without it and I don't think I could stand not having a hot tub on my gravship.
My hope would be for water tanks (potable and black) and a water reclamation system (similar to the filter) that would clean and move the water from black tanks to potable over time.
Irkalla 11. juli kl. 8:32
I wonder how shitting in space will actually work
StanleyTheWorst 11. juli kl. 7:57
yeah so are gravships just gonna get a poop chute sometime soon or what?
Krintlok 11. juli kl. 7:18
I love you and this mod, thanks for the work you do and can't wait to see the updates
kurwaffle 11. juli kl. 6:55
totally get it, I think for a space ship it would make sense to just turn a tile or wall into an exit for all pipes, it just shoots into space! And then for water I think would be a container like the chem-fuel containers seen on the space ships, AND then some type of vapor chamber that creates its own water over time.
Dubwise  [ophavsmand] 11. juli kl. 6:53
best i have been able to do so far is guess based on what code exists in 1.6
Dubwise  [ophavsmand] 11. juli kl. 6:52
i am waiting for confirmation for things when the expansion is released, can't make anything until i know what can be made, i do not have access to the expansion
kurwaffle 11. juli kl. 6:47
any news on how this will work in space?
Deggial 11. juli kl. 0:58
I don't know how DBH was integrated into SOS 2 (Sumatri mentioned this) as I've never used the mod.

Water is certainly an issue in space (and, as mentioned before, asteroids. This is even more of an issue as water could theoretically be stored in ship tanks for a short time. But this certainly wouldn't be a permanent solution on asteroid bases!)

What I could imagine are sonic showers linked to a waste recycling system via standard pipes, which could produce fertile soil and toxic waste packs (or simply the classic biosolids).

If Dubwise comes up with a high-tech alternative to the terrestial water wells, I'll be happy to use that too.
Deggial 11. juli kl. 0:41
First of all, I would like to express how relieved I am to see Dubwise's active participation in this discussion.
For some reason, I was under the impression that he might have withdrawn from modding, and that this beloved mod would have reached its 'maintenance state'.
I can't express how happy I am that this seems to be not the case.

Therefore, I am much more optimistic when I ask:
Are there any plans for a gravship and asteroids update for this mod?
(I know, I know. I am hardly the first to bring this up. But, as I said, DBH is such an essential addition to the game that I simply cannot imagine playing without it.

Dubwise, you are a hero! :)
Jet 10. juli kl. 21:43
@dubwise ive mentioned it since 1.5 dropped at least. just assumed it was one of those bugs that would never be fixed. it is kind of a peeve ngl
VitaKaninen 10. juli kl. 17:14
I don't believe hidden conduits are affected by this, though. When they first added hidden conduits, I remember seeing videos where players would place them in the smoothed corner walls of mountain bases, and when they got to the corner, it would instantly complete the corner piece, once both of the other sides were done. Has that changed?
Dubwise  [ophavsmand] 10. juli kl. 13:44
https://prnt.sc/gcFUEZWjR1hh

it appears to be a problem with constructing anything in corners, not sure if that was always a thing
Sylphix 10. juli kl. 11:49
Pipes in corner walls can't be constructed
RAD EMERALD 10. juli kl. 9:58
caution... some spaceship with bathroom... how really storage water huh?
NeverSink 10. juli kl. 4:03
Just to add a counterpoint.
I'm glad the lite mod is exactly as it is. I can't imagine playing Rimworld without dubs anymore, but I bet there will be at least SOME issues at launch with the ships and full mode and even if it works watertowers just don't look like something that should be built on the ship.

Especially with Odyssey it's a robust implementation util the full mode is err space-proof.
Tschuangtse 8. juli kl. 23:45
Funnily enough, I was just pondering the very same question. I enjoy setting up a water tower, treatment plant and what not. It makes the settlement feel more complete. But I also don't like overlap between mods and was searching for an option to remove "modules" from it, like irrigation or climate while keeping pluming and hygiene in general.

But frankly, that is quite the champagne problem and it should be stated: this mod in it's entirety is amazing and the work you put in is appreciated a lot.
Vedrit 8. juli kl. 23:16
I know, but the lite doesn't have plumbing and sewage. I'm just not a fan of the heating/cooling part of DBH
Dubwise  [ophavsmand] 8. juli kl. 22:48
you can get the lite version of this mod
