I quit, I restart, quit and restart to finally get the solution.
I liked flying throught the turrets at the bigening, have been killed twice.

that's what I was going for.
as without variation, we would eventualy get bored.
interesting & new ideas, help keep portal fresh, & increase it's longevity.
(although is a great game, as is.)

note: if you try to make a map using the funel to freeze 1 or more turrets.
they normaly fall over & die.
to avoid this. placing them on speedgel is essential.
also, the funel must not be activated, at the start of the map.
anytime after entering the map works fine.
glad you enjoyed the adventure & seen something new.
on a later map, you can set a turret on fire, without it exploding.
then when it goes out. it is traumatised (not dead).
you can go in front of it, without being shot.
then you can revive it.(now it will shoot you, if your not carefull.)
all with the basic editor.
the funel is the key.
but a different way of using it is required.

not a puzzle & watching the video 1st is best, to get the most out of it.
Cool and suprsrising special effects. It´s impressive how you only use the standard PeTI-Elements in such a creative way.

I never heard of it untill the free weekend.
played then, then bought at discount.
without the free weekend, I probably would not have tried it.
so their sales stratagy worked.
sorry to hear, you have trouble playing multiplayer.
maybe in the future, you might be able to schedule some multiplayer time ?

while looking, I noticed you also are playing "Natural Selection 2"
I like, but I think a good campagne mode, to teach & hone players skills, with all the variations of species, weapons, abilities etc, would help a lot. (in my opinion)
multiplayer is great though.
drawbacks, most want to be a marine & few want to comand.

with problems with the item limit.
using a non-useable portable area.
instead of extra lights, for highlighting the esential button.
was an effective way to achieve this.
without causing exploits.
as for a bit odd.

they were updated, as I learnt more about making maps.
added the lower area with the turrets a couple of months ago.
when was experimenting in the editor & discovered the effect of a funel on them.
I also updated the sequel, with this funel on a turret, in the final solution.
so this chamber, was to help the player in the next map.

I aranged it so the player would need to use the portable area,
that the laser goes into, to leave that area, & become very aware of it.
but a fair bit of time passed since then.
I did have signage in the area with the button / laser emitter / laser catcher.
hoped that would also help.
I to have missed things essential on maps & forgotten things,
that I need, from a previous area.
so don't feel bad.

I have done a lot of updates & re-testing to this map.
& tried many different variations.
the present one is after a lot of time spent.
thier was on 1 version, a portable area under the laser field.
but it lead to an exploit.
their is a lot of things that affect many other things on this map.
by direct connection or by affecting another area in another way.
you alter 1 thing & it causes the domino effect.
which may break a seoerate chamber / lead to an exploit / trap the player /
kill the player / make the map unsolvable.

if the franken cube turns of the funels,
the player would not see or hear the turrets fall into the fizzler.
I see what you mean about not turning off the laser field.
but the fizzler is at a hieght that makes it invisible to the player,
when at ground level.
I have had a complaint about this,
as the player did not realise what was happening to thier portals.
& they found it anoying.
as they can pass through the fizzler but if swapped with aser field, it would kill everyone all the time, I left it this way.
but to those who don't realise or foget it is there, it would spoil thier fun.
as it is, the funels being off & the laser flickering & then going off,
draws the players attention.
if the franken deactivated the funels, the player would be trapped by the polarity funel, if they accidently destroy the cube.

don't know what "spot" you had difficulty seeing ?
their is more than one type of cube & more than one cube button.

Novel use of the frankencube, I didn't know they could do that. I only tried it on a whim after spending fifteen minutes looking around for what I had missed...
May I suggest, though, to not deactivate the large laser field and instead add a little portal area beneath it? That way, one would have to crouch under the fizzlers in order to place a portal and get below.
If the frankencube deactivates the nine tractor beams, that would be a big hint about where the player should go next. A bit obvious, perhaps, if you happen to recognize that crouching trick.
Good hiding that spot. I looked that direstion but did not see it.
That was a task dealing with that turret, good thing I had the block to block.
So now I have brought it back with me stuck it in the cube holder and.....nothing.
What have I missed? I must be blind. Bear with me.
the video I refered to, is just above the thumbs up/down button above.
it has a play symbol in the middle of it, just click it, to play.
as you have used the funel to cross the laser field.
if you put the cube on the button, the panels would have opened.
you need to go there next.
you might remember the area when you get there.
as only slightly altered up there.

I discovered the effect of the blue funel on the turrets,
while working on:
how to torture a turret.
but while you can do it in live game play.
when using automation, they topled over & died.
while updating this map I found the answer is the same as I used on the skating turrets.
speed gel.
now you know why it is there.
they don't tople, they just slide a little & survive.
of course you, daloboy & Jade BGE are welcome to use this machanic on your maps,
if you want to.

this was from more funel experimenting in the editor.
I just had to use it.
it also is the answer to the end of the 5th turret sarga, since I updated that.
so this being in the 4th, should teach the player enough to survive the 5th.
as for the franken, when it settles the flickering stops after a little while.
if it misses the button, respawn is available.

glad you liked the start.
I could not alter the hieght of the fizzler due to the laser field,
which if I swapped would have killed most people, as they would also not see it at that hieght.
but when you see the fizzler from above, you can portal with the cube, directly into the funel,
that takes you safely to the button. but hold cube up high.
if you accidently destroy the cube doing this.
it respawns & breaks the laser to laser catcher connection, under the cube dropper.
this deploys the stairs, for you to jump into the funels to get back the cube.
It does not seem recongizable to me.
And if I cannot figure out a map I ask for help, as I have asked you many times before. But this does not look familiar at all.

go to previous page (page 2) on the comments & your there.
glad you don't cheat :)
placing the cube on the button, where the funel prevents it from staying there, is your last job.
so don't worry about that for now.
& it will need a reflecor cube.
if you have the 1st cube, their is a button on the floor,
near the goo, past the laser field.
this will change the polarity of the funel & open panels,
to reneal your next area to go to.
& there is a suprise.
(the funel is out of range)

I know it too but that's not the same as playing, so;
I keep trying to find a way to turn off that funnel so I can place a cube.
And I have not found a way to turn get below the red barrier. I'll take a hint - if there is one.
This map is new to me. I've never played it before.
