really nice map, great work
Spider_Dawg 11 Oct, 2020 @ 10:05am
That was enjoyable, thanks for creating. The puzzle itself was pretty easy, hardest part for me was seeing the exit itself, but it was fun to play. Thumbs up.

Enjoyable

Anyone saying this was too easy was either doing it with a mouse, or they're much better with a controller than I am.

Or they figured out the trick of running through the portal backwards much faster.

Very nice map.:steamhappy:

As you say; a "simple map", but it looks good
Nobody No-One 23 Apr, 2018 @ 9:20pm
I enjoyed it. A bit simple but the bounces and flings, especially the last one, were really fun. I've only rarely seen the concept of putting blue gel on one of those angled panels. Normally those ramps are for orange gel. Very clever. I always like Old Aperture styled maps, but some areas could maybe use a bit more detailing as they looked rather empty. I'm a bit confused by the fact that the catwalk you land on after the last fling is broken. When this test was originally built and fully functional in the 70s, where would that catwalk lead? How would the test be solvable if the catwalk weren't broken? It's not a major problem and a lot of overgrown/underground maps do that but it's a nice touch when it seems like the puzzle would still have been solvable without any of the destroyed elements. Thanks for creating and thumbs up.

Fun, but too easy

Awesome jumps. Every time I started to figure out what you wanted me to do next, I thought "Wait..... Is that even possible? Seriously?!"

Nice puzzle. Thanks

It was enjoyable but a bit too simple for me.

At the end where's the door, i noticed if you constantly bunny hop on the button and try to get in the door. Sometimes the door will be stuck and you can go through whitout the cube :P
SolidJungle 14 Jul, 2017 @ 2:43pm
A very nice puzzle.

Very good! Nice reuse of elements.

I had so much fun with glitching, cube jumping and using the jump gel. Very nice map!!!
Calwin 2 May, 2017 @ 6:01am
Fun map, a little easy logically speaking. I had some trouble with aiming at the portal and shooting. I found it easier running backwards.
Warbear 26 Apr, 2017 @ 6:28pm
Good map, fun to play.
Tompouce 14 Apr, 2017 @ 2:21pm
Nice puzzle, and true to to the decrepit look of the old aperture. Good job !
Kinoko 8 Apr, 2017 @ 7:03pm
It's clear that this level was well designed and thought out. It certainly incorporates the "flinging" mechanic that we've all come to know in a unique and familiar style; well done!
thompson004 8 Apr, 2017 @ 7:41am
easy and pleasant.
Tinarg  [author] 2 Apr, 2017 @ 1:52pm
It doesn't use faith plates, actually. The tags are autogenerated. I'm using faith plate logic to get the final fling to work, so the game thinks this map uses faith plates.
Danny 2 Apr, 2017 @ 8:53am
I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY THIS! I LOVE FAITH PLATES AND SPEED GEL!
MrChopsticks 1 Apr, 2017 @ 6:53am
This was a very good test chamber. I really enjoy playing these '50s-style chambers. The way you designed the blue gel angled panel to be reused was brilliant! I uploaded a recording of my playthrough on YouTube . Keep 'em coming!
Nulano 31 Mar, 2017 @ 11:54am
@celinedraaijer312010 You can't create this map in the built in editor. You have to use hammer, look for Portal 2 Authoring Tools Beta under Library>Tools. You can find tutorials online.
Cerila 31 Mar, 2017 @ 2:29am
how can i get more skins and items in create chamber?

quantumparticle, he/she didn't use the PeTI Editor, but used the Portal 2 Authoring Tools with the Hammer Editor.

Simple puzzle but enjoyable nonetheless. Thanks for creating!
Petutski 1 Mar, 2017 @ 7:26am
Nice map! Great fun! Thanks!
Nulano 27 Feb, 2017 @ 12:14pm
@bhz It was pretty easy for me, although I probably should have written "one of the easiest actual puzzles".

Yes, the problems I noted are not significant, but were obviously overlooked. I guess I just felt like there wasn't much of a puzzle for how many platforms there are.
OldWorld_Blues 27 Feb, 2017 @ 11:19am
Wow I didn't know you could use the Old Aperture textures
bhz 27 Feb, 2017 @ 10:16am
@Nulano I think saying this is the "easiest map on the workshop" is taking it a bit far, it's not the most difficult but it's put together very well.

I tried the bunny hop and portal peeks you suggested and if I'm understanding right this just gets you to the platform with the button-enabled angled platform a step faster. You still have to eventually go through the main mechanic of the "run" on the long horizontal platform. So, in all it doesn't feel like too much is lost, it's not as bad as a complete level skip.

With that said it is an easy fix as you suggest, and would improve the level by just that much which would be good.

I hope to see more from Tinarg in any case. :)
