Fun map, nice atmosphere, interesting transition. Sorry to see that you don't appear to be making maps anymore. Thanks for putting this one in the portalverse!

Great map, lots of fun. I love that transition between the first & second chamber. Very creative & fun puzzles throughout. Thanks for making - keep em coming!

Oh, haha. I had no idea! Thanks for pointing that out :)
Willem1321 8 dec, 2019 @ 15:04
Amazing! only one thing, you can skip the 2nd chamber because you can reach the platform with the exit door and 2 buttons with the aereal faith plate (sorry i dont remember the name). Other than that, incredible job.

Thank you! :D

Nice visuals, not that hard.

Good looking logical fun map. Thanks!

Good puzzle. Had to think for a bit at one point, the rest of it was pretty easy, but good fun and looks great.

@Rells_Parker Thank you for feedback this thorough! I agree that the second chamber is too big. I would have loved to spend some more time on the logic of it in general, and adress the issues of how the chamber would be solved if it was closed.
I'm really keen to make another portal map sometime, and I'll be sure to keep your feedback in mind.
Good thing you liked the bird, though I have to say that a lot of people have been telling me that I'm cruel to have it killed ;)

Thanks again, I learn loads from honest feedback!

Finally if the chambers weren't destroyed/overgrown I don't get the point of the turrets in the 2nd room. From a gameplay standpoint I understand that it make the player go back to get the cube, but technically they can't be dealt with if the room is closed... And I may have missed it but I don't see where the 2nd chamber's cube should come from...

Oh and I liked the bird.

Overall, nice map!

Nice puzzles, Nice hammerwork, though the second chamber seemed a little too unnecessarely big. Also, in the first chamber the choice of tiles for the broken sealing makes it look like a lighting error. It isn't but it looks kinda bad... I'd advise either having more white tiles, or changing the ceiling to black tiles.
Overall you're a little shy with white panels, you shouldn't, they brighten the room and -in your case of large rooms- give the player ways to traverse the room quicker.

Someone mentioned rain in the comments, not sure if it's a bug on my end or a packing issue but it looked more like falling dust/snow to me.

Really good, thanks.
PhelgeNanker  [skapare] 26 sep, 2017 @ 5:22
Many thanks! :)
SpielSatzFail 8 sep, 2017 @ 16:57
Good looking, clever puzzles, well done re-use of elements, perfect chamber length. Thumbs up!
soufi 4 aug, 2017 @ 5:47
How did you do the rain?
racknae 23 jul, 2017 @ 11:59
Really clever way of re-using test elements here.
PhelgeNanker  [skapare] 20 jul, 2017 @ 13:07
Ah thank you! Glad you liked it :)

That tree was really breathtaking for some reason, and I think the music helped.
afterbirth 24 maj, 2017 @ 8:38
soooooo hard but i finished it
nice map
wildgoosespeeder 13 maj, 2017 @ 22:36
It was better than I thought. The thumbnail image made it look like it had bad lighting, a common trait of terrible maps released on the workshop. It's an alright map. It is rough around the edges, but it is a damn sight better than other maps I have played.
Calwin 7 maj, 2017 @ 17:58
Very good map!
GravityVR 25 apr, 2017 @ 15:02
How did you build this map?
PhelgeNanker  [skapare] 18 apr, 2017 @ 0:49
@MrChopsticks Thanks for linking your playthrough, had fun watching it!

Sorry to say that I don't own a PC at home, which makes it hard for me to make maps. This one was made in school as a part of my level design portfolio, which is why I managed to get this one out there. But I would love to make more, so I might find a way :)
MrChopsticks 17 apr, 2017 @ 10:30
This test chamber was awesome! Thanks for putting in the work to make this map! I really enjoyed how you designed it, making both the cube and the laser to be reusable. Also, you did well making everything look worn down and broken.

I featured your chamber on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7YEWTOER28

I noticed apart from the work-in-progress version of this map, this chamber is your only one on the workshop. Do you plan on making more? I'd love to see what you come up with next.
PhelgeNanker  [skapare] 24 mar, 2017 @ 1:08
@KoboliteGameplays Hey, yeah, I used Hammer to make it :)
Realistic picture of an Elephant 20 mar, 2017 @ 11:35
i loved the map. but how did you make it the overgrown style. did you use hammer editor or some kind of style changer mod
PhelgeNanker  [skapare] 10 mar, 2017 @ 5:38
Thank you! That's so nice to hear :D
gallgael 9 mar, 2017 @ 13:28
You managed to extract new puzzles from an old format. The `rain on the tree' put us, for a moment, into nature. Many thanks!

@Andre Miles I don't understand much of what you're saying, but still fun to watch! :)

Good game.
d0rkmatter 28 feb, 2017 @ 10:53
Fun map. Perfect blend of difficulty and simplicity. That is, it's not hard because of poor design or too many variables to keep track of. It's just a challenging puzzle.
PhelgeNanker  [skapare] 27 feb, 2017 @ 0:06
@tronmike82 The tags are automatic, I've found no way of editing them.
tronmike82 26 feb, 2017 @ 16:51
the workshop said that this had a custom story?
PhelgeNanker  [skapare] 26 feb, 2017 @ 6:20
@Catmanplay555 Everything is avaliable in Hammer :)
Nulano 26 feb, 2017 @ 3:29
@Catmanplay555 I think these are actually in the portal files. The bird is seen in the underground chapters. I don't remember seeing trees, but they are common in Source games, so maybe they just left them in.
MilesPanda 26 feb, 2017 @ 3:27
PhelgeNanker, where did you downloaded those assets (trees, bird, etc)? You used Source SDK or what?
zombie9od5 25 feb, 2017 @ 17:12
amazing i loved the difficulty and im glad i didnt need a guid on the second part:steamhappy:
Tigercup9 25 feb, 2017 @ 11:46
I had no idea what to do for the second room! Had to look at VTree's video for help. Challenging, fun, and great work with the little things (such as the bird)
«[ČĻĻ]» pino 25 feb, 2017 @ 10:54
Nice map, thank you! First I got stock in the first room but finally solved it. Good job!
PhelgeNanker  [skapare] 25 feb, 2017 @ 10:49
@VTree Thanks for that, enjoyed it a lot! :)
ViiNTAGE 25 feb, 2017 @ 9:51
