lfairban 22 Oct, 2019 @ 12:13pm
Fun little map if you know the secret.
bullfrog 14 Apr, 2018 @ 12:15pm
Clever :)
Winobot 25 Oct, 2017 @ 3:16am
man just imagine if u put this little tricky puzzle into a big map. that will be almost impossible to solve! thank you sir for treating us so kindly
qrioso 8 Jan, 2017 @ 5:00am
Easy one if you've already seen that concept. Few minutes to solve. Thanks for mapping
Petutski 10 Sep, 2016 @ 5:55am
Very tricky! Very instructional! Makes you wonder how complex Portal would be if three color portals were allowed! Thanks!
azgarol 5 Sep, 2016 @ 6:23pm
easy after interlude, yet original.
WhyIzItAlwayzMe 2 Jul, 2015 @ 10:10am
The only way I figured this out was by playing your other map, Interlude, where there's a similar concept. Very well done!

That one almost had me for moment! Great puzzle, extremely straightforward presentation, and challenging!

Remember to duck!

Your other chamber "Interlude" taught me well how to solve this. Good job.

I love laser puzzles. One element challenge, well designed.
harl windwolf 6 Aug, 2013 @ 5:09pm
The angle ain't impossible at all - the only impossible aspect here is the portal itself - the portal is never fully realistic with this kind of (simple) recursive "logic" and it's got to be placed just right so there's not a lot of margin for it really, since portals can't always be placed with as much precision as seems to be necessary, or intended to be necessary at least.
I didn't find this hard at all - nonetheless, the idea to twist a few people into thinking that way who hadn't done anything similar before is very well there. It's a bit of fun, so thumbs up!

Pros:
• Minimalist chamber keeps with minimalist puzzle;
• Clever puzzle;

Cons:
• Not for lazer-puzzle haters;
Denominator 26 Mar, 2013 @ 5:35pm
Your laser tests are so simple in the end, yet they look so impossible =) Good job.
mikemoody 21 Mar, 2013 @ 12:03am
Well I made it on my own..... Now I'm going to bed.
The Sojourner 24 Nov, 2012 @ 7:55pm
Simple and elegant; I like it.

Very clever test chamber. But it's so simple that indeed it looks like a tutorial on how to expand the rather static element of a TDB ... which isn't a bad thing at all! Thumbs up from me.

@Mathey2009
The plot was to get the laser to enter twice in the portal that you placed on the slanted panel. I think you placed your portals right.
Mathey2009 9 Oct, 2012 @ 7:26am
Put one portal on the slantted panel on the floor, place cube to redirect laser to this slantted panel, place the other portal right in front of the laser reciever, sort of in the middle of the second and first portable wall....so that the laser comes out of the portal but right back out of it....and the laser then comes to get to the reciever....
As u can see....it's an impossible angle for it....and idk if i like it....i've seen many maps doing this same thing before....and trying to achieve difficulty by giving the player a near impossible angle is not right...i think
pythonzen  [author] 9 Oct, 2012 @ 6:42am
@Mathey2009
How did you solve it? I'm curious :)
Mathey2009 8 Oct, 2012 @ 6:46pm
i did solve it....but i dont think making impossible angles with lasers to solve a map is the right idea....
HongsiTiMa 22 Sep, 2012 @ 8:13pm
SO interesting and fun!!! I think your IQ is over 160. don't you? :)
NightHawk8P 17 Sep, 2012 @ 12:15am
Nice and fun map. Short but sweet. If you've played one of his other maps this should be easy. To Warbear, you have a bit of play with where you have the portals. Move them around a bit, it works =).
Warbear 13 Sep, 2012 @ 6:20pm
How the hell is this so easy? I can change the angle to straight, but can't change the elevation of the beam with only 2 portals and/or one cube.

Once again, CCM gives me a headache!
Miami Mike 28 Aug, 2012 @ 2:35pm
This was so easy that I thought it was just a preliminary lesson for a harder test to follow using the same trick, similar to some of Mevious' tests. Unfortunately, that one room was all there was.
sickle 20 Aug, 2012 @ 1:51pm
Haha.. thought it was a joke map 'till I saw who made it! Really didn't think that laser would make it.. good job :)
Mr. Shaggy 19 Aug, 2012 @ 4:05pm
This is a pretty clever level! I like the aesthetics too.
Dizzy the Void 19 Aug, 2012 @ 12:11pm
That is pretty clever, for a single puzzle.
Jorbun 18 Aug, 2012 @ 12:06am
Actually, I had honestly forgotten it was one of your maps. If I hadn't needed sleep when I wrote that comment, I might have thought to check if it was one of yours.

It didn't occur to me that you might have done both. I just mean Interlude used it better.
red iiis 17 Aug, 2012 @ 2:23pm
Simple but cool. I like what you did.
pythonzen  [author] 17 Aug, 2012 @ 1:52pm
@Jorbun
You're funny! In fact, this pic is from my other map "Interlude". The puzzle is almost the same, but here I show how it also works with angled lasers. At least I know I can do "better" than myself, whatever the hell that means.
Jorbun 17 Aug, 2012 @ 4:21am
This reminds me of another chamber. I wish I could remember what it was called and who made it, but I have a screenshot.

I think he did it better, but you still have a thumbs up from me!
doggi 15 Aug, 2012 @ 10:41am
please make a video walkthrough, I don't know how to do it but it seems interesting
Pickles 14 Aug, 2012 @ 8:50pm
Interesting concept
ajar 14 Aug, 2012 @ 12:49am
Clever simplicity :))))
76561198064400482 13 Aug, 2012 @ 3:20pm
2 minute fun. Original reflection though :)
