The map is not randomly generated.
Wanna mount and blade with guns? Look somewhere else.

Stellar tactics get you play as a band of mercenaries in space. You'll do ground mission and some space combat and trading. There is a main story but there are lots of side missions, a LOT of them. If there are options to give this review something between recommended or not then I'll pick that option.

I'll be telling you something that give me an impression. I'm bat at explaining details so here we go:

Tutorial Mission
The tutorial mission is long, at least for me, since I'm very bad at directions. The objectives has no mark in the map, if it's there then I ddid't see it so I have to figure out myself how or where. Example: when the objective point you to a crew quarter you need to explore the map and guessing is this the right quarter? And when the objective told you to do something, you need to hover over your mouse cursor to find the said object because not every object can be interacted and there is no clue until you hover over your cursor over it.

This long tutorial made wonder when do I get to my ship and explore the space? I have spent 2 hours in this However, this tutotial represents how ground combat will be.

Ground Combat
Ground combat plays like CRPG and not XCOM, if expecting some xcom, this is not for you. It's more like Divinity Original Sin or other CRPGs. When not in combat you move your characters like an RTS game and when you met with an enemy it turned into a turn-based combat with TURN ORDER for every character.

The mission layout is different in every mission, thanks to its procedurally generated tactical map. It's just shuffling premade nodes so you'll find same spot but with different layout placement.

Space Travel
Space travel is little bit confusing at first but it's thoroughly explained in the help section. I knew how to mini-warp my ship after clicking "warp" button like 1 hour, turns out I need to wait few seconds. I thougt the button is not working. Without this "warp" button space travel will be very slow and boring.

Space Combat
I never seen space combat like this, it's more like slow-paced rebel galaxy. Also, it's confusing at first, without you reading the in-game guide I'm not sure you'll survive your first battle.

When entering the battle, you will be activating a battle-mode like powering up your shield and arming your turret, and you get to distribute your power whether it's for the shield or movement. The shield is divided into directions and you can control which shield will be your main focus. If you lose the shield the enemy will breach the hull and eventually destroy your ship. The turrets will auto target whether it's a energy weapon or missiles but I don't know how to control it. There are numbers in the bottop left corner of the UI but I don't know what exactly it's for.

Level Scaling
I think there are no level scaling, it's fixed with sectors. Some sectors has low level and some sectors has high. This way you can determine your own challenge, will you challenge lvl. 20 spiders with your lvl 4 mercs?

Final Verdict
I'll give this game 7/10. It's in Early Access and has lots of potential, but it lacks of intuitiveness. The music is from NCS I think since I also heard it from a prankster's youtube videos. It's understandable for a single-developer.

nb: The claim that it'll be over 100,000 star system is not lying.

I had refunded this game once because of that stupid minigame but I rebuy it after it's out of early access and found this to be one of the best game I ever bought. I like sandbox game with randomly generated world and events, also a living world.

Story
There's no story in this game. More like a sandbox, however the world is alive and the towns tries to expand itself by constructing buildings. Their progress could be delayed or even went backward if there are evil parties keep killing and destroying their progres. This is where YOU take a part. There is the "Root of All Evil" parties that are strong enough to defeat and when you defeat them those specific type of evil wont spawn in your world. For example if you defeat an Orc warlord as "Root of all Evil" event, those evil orc war parties wont spawn in your world. As long as the Root is alive, evil orc parties will spawn.

Characters Development - Story
There are no predefined stories to follow like some JRPGS, instead you create your own story. There are almost no writing in this game so you have to use your imagination about your own generated character. Mine was a simple hunter, a human, in a continent where only one human city remains. He befriended an elf girl he found on a hidden elven city (gameplay-wise I recruited her with gold). She use dual wielding gun like a lara croft while battling common bandits. But our two-man party is not so effective against army of undead that infested the north part of her town. So we had to embark for a journey to make money and recruit more people to join our cause. We met a high-elf in a city above the hill, we recruited him and equiped him with a mace, we trained, learn new skills from town barracks and we back to those undead to teach them lesson that the dead should stay dead. After we done with those undead we heard the news that my human city was ransacked by those orc warlords (in-game presentation was a simple text in the bottom of the screen that a human town was reduced into a hamlet).

Characters Development - Gameplay
There are only three attribute stats: Power, Speed, and Mind.
Power determines your attack damage and amount of HP. Speed determines hit-rate and dodge, also how fast your turn will be. Mind determines your magic damage.
You gain level by experience in using your action. Use of melee weapon or being hit increases your power, moving or using bows/guns will increase speed, and using your magic skill will increase mind. You can instantly learn those attributes with gold in towns.
There are also skills, but the only way you can obtain it is with gold. You must "buy" the skill in town. But first, the town must have built the facilities for those skills, for example an arcane tower to learn magic skill, barrack to learn fighting skill. You can pay the city to build those facilities for you.

Gameplay - Strategic Layer
The world are alive. Towns develop and trying to coexist with each other. Evil enemies actively trying to hinder the town progress, they are attacking merchants and militias. If a town is not progressing so does your characters, they cannot learn skills from a town facilities if those orc warlords or those undead keep destroying the improvement. So you must protect those town if you want to develop further.
You control you character by clikcing left mouse button in a world map. But, unlike mount and blade the game is not paused when your character stop so you have to manually pause it.

Gameplay - Tactical Layer
Combat in here plays like new XCOM, there are 2 actions in here called action bars. Almost every action cost full bar, except moving inside non-dash area. If you are moving till dash-area half of your action bar will be consumed, so you have to wait for it to fill up before next action. Some skill only use half action bar so that it can be used after dashing.
The turn order is determined by how fast your action bar fills. The more speed you have, the faster the action bar fills.
There is a minigame, where you have to click at the right moment after action to get the best output. But I'm bad at this so I disabled it, it's in the option "Auto-Minigame".

Score - 8/10
This is a good game, a hidden gem. It only 60 Mb in size and actually more worth than 60 hours. I hope developer keep adding content to this beautiful rough gem so that our experience is virutally endless.

That is all for now, since I have an orc warlord to kill.

Since I don't like writing a long review I want to make it simple.

Do you want to build a city and live in it?... It has similar zoning like in Sim City like residential, commercial, and industry. Not only that, you can even create your custom building and save it as one of them.

If you are not in a creative mood, you can skip the building part and just do some quests like:
- eliminate bandits
- steal a car
- drive ambulance to pick up emergencies

But if you are in a greedy mood, you can just take over the city, but first you need to be smart and cunning. Ally yourself with a strong faction and crush the weak then stab your allies so that you can take the city only under your control.

Or you can just be a land lord. Erect buildings like houses and apartements. Build factories, hamburger store, general store, offices.

But why build when you can take?

Conan Exiles is a survival-crafting game. You build your base, craft your weapon and gears, hunt for materials, defeat monsters etc.

It's a sandbox game like seven days to die, ARK, minecraft or rust. The game was designed with multiplayer in mind but It's playable in single player, but you have to be connected to the internet regardless. But, there's a mod to make it true offline.

I played this game in single-player only. Since multiplayer game is not my thing. It's fun, the battle, the animation, the graphic, it's all amazing, and I played this game with a laptop in all low setting. It's acceptable and not ugly, in my opinion. So YES this review is only for SINGLE PLAYER experience, if you want to look for a multiplayer view like how is the server issues and pvp experience you should look the other review.

Now, let's talk about my gameplay experience:
First, you need to create your character as male or female, (shhh... don't tell anyone there's a ♥♥♥♥ slider when you enable full nudity), you can customize their hairstyles, body, skin tone among other things. Then you get to choose a god, every god has certain benefit and you can summon their avatar, you can then control them to destroy the one who wronged you. But I'm an atheist so I choose no god, I don't believe those pagan gods, they more like a monster than a god. The only god I believe in this game is "The Admin".

After you have done with your character, you will start in a desert somewhere in a map with nothing but your underwear (you can completely remove the starting underwear with full nudity options, and see how your ♥♥♥♥ sliding result). You have to gather stones, branches, barks, plant fibers and you need to start building a shelter.

Now, from here it's started to get a little confusing for me. First, I need to look for food and water, you can directly drink from stream, or rivers but as for food it's like trial and error. You can cook meat in a campfire but there are no recipe list about what you can cook in it, so you need to trial and error for it. I tried to burn plant fiber and seed to make a gruel. Now, I need to figure out how to make a human flesh goulash.

After a few days in game, I got leveled up. I need to distribute my points to unlock some perks. I focus on GRIT because it increases my grip when climbing, yes you can climb anything like a spiderman in this game, but it needs stamina, you'll fall when your stamina depletes. There are many attributes like strength, encimbrance, vitality, grit, accuracy etc. There's also a feat, you unlock recipes when you unlock a feat. You can create an iron pickaxe after you unlock iron tool feat for example.

I spent days in this game not without some combat. There are wild animals like crocodiles, gorilla like turtle, and other exiles. The battle is nice, it's not like skyrim, no. It's more like dark soul in my opinion, but easier. You can make a combo move by combining light and heavy attack. There are lots of gore in this game, but it only applies on human characters. Limbs fall of, head rolling on the ground, body split in two. The good thing is you don't need to make a way to mutilate people in real world, just do it here in this game. It's legit, it's legal, and you don't get some hassles from the police.

Anyway, Conan Exiles is a good game for me as a single player. I'm a single player gamer and I'm not regreting one bit in buying this game.

You should try it, it's fun.

Now you'll excuse me, I need to figure out how to make a human flesh goulash, it's important for me, it matters.

At first I was going to refund this game because it's just a long loading time for my machine and it runs poorly, but alas the playtime for me is above 2 hours yes, it was lot of loading time that time.

BUT, after a few months later I decided to reinstall it and played it a little bit, lowering textures and use GL core rendering and I use offline mode because online mode took lot of resources on my potato, and now I have discovered a GREAT game within.

This game is about you, as a survivor of zombie appocalypse, must survive in a harshworld full of zombies. You have to build, scavenge, and defend yourself when the time come. You have seven days of preparation before the horde are swarming towards wherever you are living.

I played only in offline mode, so I havent experience multiplayer yet. But, this game is awesome even in single player.

So what's the fun of playing this game?
The fun I had when I play this game is when you prepare yourself, gathering resources, build defense and the exciting part is when the hordes are coming in 7th day. Your skill in a base defense is tested, did you build a good perimeter? Have you laid traps? Are you armed well? The 7th days is the test of it.

It took some trials and errors in my part. At first I was just wandering around, cutting trees, look for water and some seeds to plant so I don't have to worry about food. BUT I WAS WRONG, well those things are important but more importantly you should prepare your base first, create a good defense. I was eaten alive by the zombies on my 7th day, because I thougt iron reinforced wall alone can protect me.

This is a zombie survival game should be. The thrill when you are being hunted by zombies, the horror when you scavenge in the night, everything is tense in this game. How will you do when you are just searching for some canned food in an abandoned house then suddenly, without any warning a zombie screamed behind you and started clawing your back? and you are not so tough like Leon, or Jill in Biohazzard series? you are just a regular miserable guy with malnourised body and a only few pieces of fiber cloth on your body?... yes YOU DIE...

as for an ealry access nature, well the updates are slow and the last patch was in the last october. But you can always play with mods there are some great mods out there but I have yet to try it. I saw it on youtube and they add lots of thing, but for me vanilla is enough, it'll keep you engaged for days, if you like survival games and building, and a little tower defenses.

Dominions 5 is a fantasy 4x turn-based strategy game where you control one of the pretender gods, you pick a faction and fight other pretender gods for the throne of ascension. By default you won the game once you have defeated all other pretender gods.

Now let's review the game.

Gameplay
Most of the people here said that Dominion 5 is a complex game but for me it's a simple game why? Because of it's high level management. You don't move your every soldier in the battlefield instead they move on their own, your role here is to issue a strategy in pre-battle. Will your cavalery target the rearmost unit? Will your infantry attack the closest unit or large enemy monster? it's all up to you in the strategic screen.

You can see your provinces in the strategic map, the resources, income, recruitment point (which I still don't understand how it's work) and the units you can hire. There are some unique unit in certain provinces like lizarmen, shamblers, mermen, jaguar warriors, etc. You can recruit them but to move unit you have hired to another province, you'll need a commander. Units can only move from province to province by the lead of a commander, once your commander dies your unit will disperse, you'll lose your units. You might regain some unit if you are lucky.

There's a dominion mechanic, it's like spreading your religion. You'll be given a prohet that you picked yourself. This prophet will spread religion of your pretender god not only a prophet a priest can also do the same but it is not as powerful as a prophet. Spreading your religion is important because it expand your dominion, if you have no dominions left you lose the game.

It's just that, simple isn't it?... no need to think tactical, just give high level command and let your unit go crazy. But, it by no means a CASUL game. If you are careless, you'll got rekt and you'll realize it's too late to fix that. Like me, I was focused on building my military but neglected my religion spreading, I got huge military on every province and every nation feared me but my dominions keep decreasing and in the end it's gone completely, I got domkilled.

Music
The music is nice at first but it's repeating. I think it only has one track. I advise to turn off the music and just open youtube and search for epic music, it'll do beter, trust me.

Artstyle
Certainly, dominion games has a minimalist art, 3D for environment and 2-frame 2D sprites for units and characters. For me the art is okay, I can relate to it, I can imagine it. It'll grow on you eventually.

Score
I'll give this game a 8/10, great game.

The developer insists that multiplayer only for the game like this is the best choice rather than give an option for a single player game. Look what they got?... the server is no more and nobody can't play this.

I hope they learn their lesson, and I hope this became an example to other devs out there.

I'm not telling you the obvious one that the streamers are showing on youtube instead I'll point out minor but noticeable changes.

War of the Chosen is an expansion, not just mere dlc. It expands, 30 gb is worth it and the price is reasonable.

GAMEPLAY:
As for the gameplay, it's not so different from vanilla, the difference is the UX, you can hold ALT to preview target which highlights you what enemies you can see or enemies that you flanked, without scrolling the map and view it yourself.

There are advanced difficulty options like significantly increase HP for you and the enemies so that the battle will last longer, double avatar project countdown, or doubling the mission timer.

MISC:
there's a photobooth, the game will save pictures automatically when you won a mission, got promoted, form a bond so you could track your progress with the photos. It reminiscence you about your beloved character, watching him/her grow from mere rookies to deadly skillful colonels. You can share the photos with your friends or you can keep it yourself <(").

IMMERSION:
The minor changes, well I'd say minor since it's not mentioned anywhere else, is the resistance. Yes, there's actually a resistance infantries with their own guns and armies, they help you in retaliation mission, cpu-controlled, not so reliable but make necessary annoyance to the aliens.

MUSIC:
The music also changed, it different from the vanilla. I'm not sure which one is good but sure the music blends perfectly with the environments.

Overall it's a nice addition to an already great game XCOM 2, four you vanilla players or Long War player should try this one. You won't be disappointed, I promise.
