2.0.0 (12/15/2023): Massive update changing how props are placed. Research projects have been removed. Props have been removed from the Architect menu. Instead, a new Props Pallette menu can be opened via the Build Props button in the Furniture tab. Props are placed instantly and cost silver instead of other resources. Many new props have been added, including effect spawners.

Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Props and Decor is a major mod release that has been in production for almost 8 months. The main aim is to provide much needed customizability to your bases and cities, a way to add some detail to your rooms and buildings, and to generally allow you to place more of “you” inside the game.

This mod adds almost 350 hand drawn, vanilla-like props, spread across several categories, from place-able filth to space ships. All these props have no functionality in the game - a sink prop doesn’t use Dubs Bad Hygiene, a shelf prop isn’t an actual shelf, and it doesn’t need Deep Storage to work. All these props are simply decorations, and should only be used if you want to get a bit more creative with the building.

Props do allow you to cheese the game in a variety of ways if you choose to do it. You can use prop containers to block in enemy raiders. We will not be fixing that - if you want to use creative tools to win the game, you might as well play with the god mode on.

Why didn’t we add functionality to these props? Because of the sheer amount of them - I wouldn’t forgive myself if I didn’t add function to ALL of them. I wouldn’t be satisfied with just 30 props with functions while the rest would just be props. I have then decided all of those should be simply props, as the name of the mod suggests.

Well don’t wait any longer, download this mod, use the new props to decorate your base and make sure to tell your friends about it too! Everyone wants to place a puddle of vomit in their hospitals!

Q: Is this mod CE compatible?
A: Yes

Q: Is X prop flammable? Does it provide cover? Can it be walked through?
A: Generally by the rule of thumb, if something should be flammable/provide cover/block movement, it does.

Q: Is this mod compatible with Rimatomics, Rimfeller, Dubs Bad Hygiene, Deep Storage or Vehicle framework or anything else?
A: It’s compatible, but it doesn’t use these mods to add functionality. These props don’t do anything, they only look cool.

Q: How do I unlock the props?
A: All props are unlocked by default, accessible via the props menu.

Q: Can I add it to an ongoing save?
A: Yes you can.

Q: Can I suggest a feature?
A: Absolutely, leave a comment down below! We are open to all sort of props suggestions. I can’t promise we will add them, but whenever I have a spare minute I can draw things.

Q: Will you keep updating the mod with new props?
A: Yes

Q: Does it fill the whole Architect tab?
A: No, it all appears in a separate UI.

Q: Do props cost resources to make?
A: No, they only cost silver. You can enable god mode and that will make all props free.

Spent the past few days trynna work out why my rimworld won't start. Deleted all my mods and folders, literally redownloaded everything one by one. and found out it's this mod lol. Removed it and my rimworld starts instantly. I can't even post a bug report cus when I have this mod in the list rimworld never gets to the menu screen.

This happens when it's just this mod + it's requirements and all the DLC btw. Just gets stuck loading forever with 'not responding'

All of you saying "I have the same issue". It's on you to:

a) Prove it happens with only this mod + DLC + Harmony + Framework
b) DIscover which other crusty mod is fucking things up for you

I can't do much otherwise. Already tested, already proved Props don't vanish

I have the same issue as well, unsure if it is relayed to turning the ship before putting it down when "landing" somewhere?

probably comes from an update from another mod because it didnt happen a couple days ago, what a weird bug

i have the same issue, props on the ship disapear. They didnt a couple days ago, was the mod updated?
