MOD CONCEPT
- The mod is meant to improve the map's de jure structure and add baronies, provinces and cultures. Where possible in the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
- While I want to add detail and accuracy where possible, I don't inherently consider vanilla map wrong
- in order to keep the game playable, I respect vanilla basic design in terms of minimal province size.
- I also want to keep this mod minimalistic and relatively close to vanilla if possible, just like I did in the previous iteration of this mod
- For the sake of compatibility with other mods, this will be solely map mod dealing with map, de jure structure and with very tiny changes in cultures map. Like in CK2 I plan to build an upgrade of this mod "Ibn Battuta's World", which will also edit some titular history and potentially also change other gameplay features on the top of this mod.

MOD OBJECTIVES
(what to expect and what not to expect )
- This mod doesn't make a complete overhaul of map and its projection
- New cultures are added only in cases where previously some vanilla cultures stretches hundreds of kilometers into areas where it never was
- I don't plan nor intend to use localized names for kingdoms into their local languages. This game is in English and hence the names will be in English and in the forms used by modern historiography. Even the ones which are recently contested.

---------

Features no longer present in base IBL:
3 new terrains
- Savanna, Boreal highlands and Arid hills
---------
COMPATIBILITY:
- Does not work with achievements! Many changes to the checksum.
- Should work ok with most mods, unles the other mods change the map or its structure.
- after 1.5.0 some compatches may not work propperly yet, or at all, be careful

Recommended compatible mods:
- Rajas of Asia - works with compatch - this one needs update
- Muslim Enhancements works with compatch - this one needs update
- Recomended with Africa Plus , now fully working with compatch - now fully working
- RICE and other Cybrxkhan's mods
- Works with More Cultural Names mod ( compatch )

- Works as a base mod editing map - in most cases, other mods need to be made compatible with this one, not vice versa. If you want it to use it in compatibility with other mods, please ask both me and the other mod's author and I will try helping him with compatibility
- I'm working towards compatibility with other mods of CMH (Community Mods for Historicity) [forum.paradoxplaza.com]

@TaTaRiN - as far as I know, the mod is okay with the latest version. The only part of the update would be to write that it is for version 1.16.2.3 instead of 1.16.2.2, nothing else changes.
Unfortunately my laptop is broken and I currently have no time to get it repaired, so I won!´t be able to update the mod until later next week

@散落星尘 Mod works with Culture Expanded for me. But doesn't work with More Cultural Names. Unsure if there is a mix-up in the names.

Is there a load order or list of incompatibilities? Thanks.

@hamletsdead - yes, you can make a compatch yourself. I can assure that I will not be making such compatch myself, but if you want, I can do my best to help you.
Main reason is that although the two mods may have the same goal (improving map and accuracy), we use very different approach (mainly, but not limited to MPE's maximalism vs. IBL's minimalism).

Is there any way to make this work with More Provinces Expanded?
Null-ARC 2 May @ 10:34am
@elvain oh, this was not a complaint.
It is clear to me, that updating the mod to the new version will take some time. This is just an attempt to provide the information I already acquired from hunting down these issues in order to be added to the ToDo-List of things to address & look at during the update process.

Spotting & pinning down bugs & other issues takes time & effort, it would be pointless to let my findings go to waste by having you start at 0 again when I already did some recon. I'm simpy trying to provide a shortcut for some of the update progress by handing over my findings to provide some starting data on what needs to be fixed during Updating.

@Null-ARC thanks for feedback.
Please be aware that IBL wasn't yet updated for 1.16.
It's how much, 4 days from the update? I hardly had a time to load the game and get the files updated, it will take some time.
It's no news that in the first days after any update, especially if feature-heavy as this one, mods will take some time to get updated and run smoothly. Please, have some patience
