Xianxia Cultivation

Description
I have not been able to work much in the mod lately due to personal reasons, you can see details on the Discord. [discord.com]
Regarding the latest version, the mod should work just fine since it doesnt seem to have any big changes, but feel free to let me know if you find any issues. I will update it once I have more free time.

Xianxia cultivation is a rework from an older cultivation mod.

If you have played the original mod, then you might find that this one's focus is significantly different. While I never managed to play the original in a regular game, I think it just made an already easy game into something even signficantly easier, so I am focused in making the world more unfair, just like its supposed to be in cultivation novels. Cultivation is supposed to be a struggle that rewards the hardworking, ruthless and risktakers, so no more "here is your amazing cultivation body for free". If people don't like this I might consider adding difficulty settings, but it's not a priority for now.

If you know chinese and want to help with a translation contact me on the Discord [discord.com]

Important note:
You do not need to grab cultivation or meridians from the character creator, you can get those from regular playing, but I left them active in case anyone wanted to roleplay a specific character or just wanted to go with the heavenly meridians to make their experience a bit easier.

Right now the mod is still severely lacking in content and needs some rebalancing, so unless you are willing to help with feedback you should probably wait a few more weeks before giving it a try.

In case you still want to give it a try and have some feedback or found some issues, join the Discord [discord.com] to let me know.

Compatibility:
As far as I know, there should be no compatibility issues with most mods, the only one I could think of would be if a mod just happened to pick the same trait index values that I did, which is unlikely but not imposibble. Please let me know if you find any issues with mods so I can try to fix them.

Content added that is working right now:

- AI Capable of cultivation
- 5 meridian traits, 7 cultivation realms and 4 body constitutions, all achievable through regular play (For the meridians and cultivation traits I just copied the original mod, if the creator wants me to remove them please contact me)
- A few cultivation events allowing for chances of upgrading your cultivation, upgrading your meridians or even get some of the body constitutions.

Content planned(near future):
- Special interaction unlocks from certain constitutions (for example a yang cultivator being capable of doing dual cultivation with a yin cultivator)
- More interesting tribulations between cultivation realms
- A lot more events
- More body constitutions
- Cultivation artifacts
- Landless exclusive events (like gambling dens in cities or auction houses)

Content planned if the mod keeps going for more than a few months:
- A sect system (either a government type or maybe something unique for landless, tbd)
- Some sort of dueling system
- Whatever other ideas might come up that I see fit
- Some dungeon system, probably similiar to elf destiny's expeditions but maybe more like old cultivator's tombs or something like that

Just from looking through the character creator traits, I feel like the cultivation level experience bonuses could use some revamping. I mean, we'll look at the topmost level for the most blatant example. Immortal Ascension. +95 prowess, and lots of longevity bonuses, with fertility debuffs. However, at 10 exp, you gain only 3 prowess, and 4 at 50 and 100? I dunno about y'all, but 11 extra prowess doesn't really seem all that grand when you already gain 95 from the trait.

When will the next update be? I'm really looking forward to it!

You misstated the definitions, mate. You came into a xianxia mod, claiming it was murim, when it is not. I can't stand people who spread lies through their own ignorance. Don't speak on something you know nothing of if you want to keep your peace. I gave you advice to expand your knowledge so you can avoid drama in the future. You dislike my approach, not my problem. My point stands

@Gopher You're being hostile for no reason. I was simply sharing my opinion here. Calling not well read in a genre that I don't read is doing nothing here. I simplified everything I said because I am not gonna start an essay on a comment section in the steam workshop. As for the fleeing, I am not. I simply didn't want to continue this discussion in this thread, which should be about the mod and not the difference of murim and wuxia. The "spread lies" part is simply ridiculous. I can't express what I dislike about a genre? I stated my observations about why I chose not to continue diving deeper into wuxia/xianxia. That's all. Don't take this personally, everyone has their own taste my friend. I simply don't share yours. Have a nice day.

You just aren't well-read and get the details confused. Read "Nine Star Hegemon Body Art" or "I Shall Seal the Heavens/any Er Gen work". Those capture the essence of xianxia perfectly. It's definitely not the simplistic interpretation and mistaken differentiation between murim/wuxia that you are pushing. Dunno why you are fleeing, but don't come to a xianxia group and spread lies without knowing more than nothing, please.

@gopher One last thing and I won't be bothering this comment section anymore :)
There's pill making as main focus for some characters. Others (including MCs most of the time) always look for a magic herb to break through and the treasure realms that open containing the inheritance of some ancestor.

@gopher Most things I know about wuxia/xianxia comes from the few manhua I read. That's because I prefer murim over it. Ancient china is usually one of the mortal worlds and is not that heavily focused. What all of the cultivators want to achieve is to literally achieve immortality and ascend. Meaning they want to leave xD. Murim is more about balance of factions, goverment involvement, wars, etc. Not saying they were bad btw. There are some stories I really enjoyed, like "above ten thousand people" and "top tier providence"
Gopher 6 Mar @ 11:31am
And I seriously think you haven't read many xianxia or wuxia novels if you think the realms are achieved only through alchemy or inheritances! That's stuff for rich people! Poor cultivators MUST train and cultivate!
Gopher 6 Mar @ 11:29am
...wuxia literally takes place in ancient China, mate. I have no issues with murim, but why would a xianxia overhaul mod use that when wuxia is the standard? Xianxia is literally all about Immortal Heroes!
Pero Pero (>ω<) 6 Mar @ 8:38am
@kilthrall start with nanomachine manhwa. It's excellent. The difference with wuxia stories it's that it has no immortals or rarely mentions them. They're regarded as ancestors by the taoist sects and the likes. Something like that. And it's based on china so it would be possible to mod into the game, unlike wuxia that is usually in the land of immortals. Murim is more "realistic" and more focused on martial arts techniques rather than cultivating to the next level. Although there are levels they're achieved more with hard work rather than finding an "inheritance" or some herb.
The basics are white, black factions, heavenly demonic cult and one more that sometimes appears the blood cult.
Man, if you let me. I'm gonna write a whole essay xD
Anyway check out nano machine. It's on webnovel, but I read the manhwa. It's in my top 10.
