Xianxia Cultivation

Just from looking through the character creator traits, I feel like the cultivation level experience bonuses could use some revamping. I mean, we'll look at the topmost level for the most blatant example. Immortal Ascension. +95 prowess, and lots of longevity bonuses, with fertility debuffs. However, at 10 exp, you gain only 3 prowess, and 4 at 50 and 100? I dunno about y'all, but 11 extra prowess doesn't really seem all that grand when you already gain 95 from the trait.

When will the next update be? I'm really looking forward to it!

You misstated the definitions, mate. You came into a xianxia mod, claiming it was murim, when it is not. I can't stand people who spread lies through their own ignorance. Don't speak on something you know nothing of if you want to keep your peace. I gave you advice to expand your knowledge so you can avoid drama in the future. You dislike my approach, not my problem. My point stands

@Gopher You're being hostile for no reason. I was simply sharing my opinion here. Calling not well read in a genre that I don't read is doing nothing here. I simplified everything I said because I am not gonna start an essay on a comment section in the steam workshop. As for the fleeing, I am not. I simply didn't want to continue this discussion in this thread, which should be about the mod and not the difference of murim and wuxia. The "spread lies" part is simply ridiculous. I can't express what I dislike about a genre? I stated my observations about why I chose not to continue diving deeper into wuxia/xianxia. That's all. Don't take this personally, everyone has their own taste my friend. I simply don't share yours. Have a nice day.

You just aren't well-read and get the details confused. Read "Nine Star Hegemon Body Art" or "I Shall Seal the Heavens/any Er Gen work". Those capture the essence of xianxia perfectly. It's definitely not the simplistic interpretation and mistaken differentiation between murim/wuxia that you are pushing. Dunno why you are fleeing, but don't come to a xianxia group and spread lies without knowing more than nothing, please.

@gopher One last thing and I won't be bothering this comment section anymore :)
There's pill making as main focus for some characters. Others (including MCs most of the time) always look for a magic herb to break through and the treasure realms that open containing the inheritance of some ancestor.
Pero Pero (>ω<) 7 Mar @ 7:21am
@gopher Most things I know about wuxia/xianxia comes from the few manhua I read. That's because I prefer murim over it. Ancient china is usually one of the mortal worlds and is not that heavily focused. What all of the cultivators want to achieve is to literally achieve immortality and ascend. Meaning they want to leave xD. Murim is more about balance of factions, goverment involvement, wars, etc. Not saying they were bad btw. There are some stories I really enjoyed, like "above ten thousand people" and "top tier providence"
Gopher 6 Mar @ 11:31am
And I seriously think you haven't read many xianxia or wuxia novels if you think the realms are achieved only through alchemy or inheritances! That's stuff for rich people! Poor cultivators MUST train and cultivate!
Gopher 6 Mar @ 11:29am
...wuxia literally takes place in ancient China, mate. I have no issues with murim, but why would a xianxia overhaul mod use that when wuxia is the standard? Xianxia is literally all about Immortal Heroes!
Pero Pero (>ω<) 6 Mar @ 8:38am
@kilthrall start with nanomachine manhwa. It's excellent. The difference with wuxia stories it's that it has no immortals or rarely mentions them. They're regarded as ancestors by the taoist sects and the likes. Something like that. And it's based on china so it would be possible to mod into the game, unlike wuxia that is usually in the land of immortals. Murim is more "realistic" and more focused on martial arts techniques rather than cultivating to the next level. Although there are levels they're achieved more with hard work rather than finding an "inheritance" or some herb.
The basics are white, black factions, heavenly demonic cult and one more that sometimes appears the blood cult.
Man, if you let me. I'm gonna write a whole essay xD
Anyway check out nano machine. It's on webnovel, but I read the manhwa. It's in my top 10.

I have never read any korean cultivation novels so not any time soon, although im curious about murim cultivation, is there any novels u recommend?
Pero Pero (>ω<) 5 Mar @ 9:57pm
My previous comment was based on the assumption this was a "korean" murim style cultivation mod. Turns out this is a wuxia one. Any chance to make a murim style mod?
Edge 11 Jan @ 12:55am
keeping my eye on this, has plenty of potential, but very few cultivation mods seem to last long, hope this does
KilThrall  [author] 5 Jan @ 5:42am
@Deep-Eyes white Dragon well tbf, I am not technically the only creator of this mod. I just grabbed an older one, used the stuff that still worked (not a lot), adapted it to fit what I felt like doing a bit more and maybe add a bit of content more, but that's about it.
Thanks for the compliment anyway!
KilThrall  [author] 5 Jan @ 5:40am
@Fadeless This is my first work so I never tried doing stuff like compatches and rn i dont even have time to work on the mod itself, but if anyone feels like doing it feel free to do so.
Deep-Eyes White Dragon 5 Jan @ 5:03am
A truly eye-catching work, I thought it was made by Chinese.
Fadeless 2 Jan @ 7:07pm
Great mod! There's a "Heavenly Demon" Character in Vampire Inquisition. It would be awesome if you could make a compatch that gave him the appropriate traits.
Pero Pero (>ω<) 19 Dec, 2024 @ 10:31am
For a murim goverment you could look at the structure they used in vampire inquisition mod. You can have a goverment while unlanded and independant whilst holding an estate within another's realm. That's similar how murim and ancient china signed treaties not to interfere with each other. I think it would make sense to have something of that form.

Thanks for the info @mwrk . Would you mind explaining how its broken? If u can send a screenshot through discord that would help a lot! Regarding the frequency, I will be honest, I didnt try them too much since I havent had a lot of time lately, so thanks for the feedback!
MWRK 8 Nov, 2024 @ 5:17pm
The travel events in this pop up way too often in my opinion, also one of the events where you loot ruins is broken.
Narai Bantomsin 3 Nov, 2024 @ 5:05am
Perfect!
KilThrall  [author] 27 Oct, 2024 @ 2:55am
There should be no issues with the latest content, yes. If at any point some update breaks it I will probably put it on the description until I fix it
Dipp 26 Oct, 2024 @ 4:16pm
Does this work with adventurers?
Tepes 24 Oct, 2024 @ 7:20am
Comentando aqui para aumentar o engajamento do mod
KilThrall  [author] 20 Oct, 2024 @ 3:39pm
@gopher the AI should naturally start cultivating over time and increase their cultivation naturally, though I havent tried simulating 100+ years since adding all the deadly events so they might die a bit more often than what I planned for lol. Your idea should still be doable, tho again keep in mind, the mod is a bit deadly haha
Gopher 20 Oct, 2024 @ 3:28pm
Woot! Bout to create custom characters all over Ireland and make it the home of the Chosen! See if that has any interesting effects on the simulation. Can't wait for some kind of Sect system! It could be some unique religions, that way anyone could join them while still being treated appropriately based on their personalities and actions.
Filth Lord 20 Oct, 2024 @ 2:18pm
thank you m'lord. PLS PLS PLS dont abandon
KilThrall  [author] 20 Oct, 2024 @ 8:49am
I plan on staying with frequent updates at least until I get a new job which might take a few months. Past that, it will be a matter of how much free time I have but I will try to at least make it compatible with future updates for the next few years, as long as the developers dont make any huge changes on the way modding works it shouldnt be a big issue.
SasakiMichie 20 Oct, 2024 @ 8:44am
Hopfully you stick around, since theres been very few cultivation mods
