Best use of laser cube I've seen in a while. Much easier once I realized moving the portal will always reset the puzzle.

@Mr Fab Thanks a lot for the video! It was very entertaining to watch. Indeed, that first move has tripped up more players in the past. Great work solving it in the end, though :D

GAH ! That first move took me so long to find :steamfacepalm: I feel like I could have beat this in 10 min, oh well great like always  Favorited !

I wonder if it's worth making it monoportal, as you never need to let go of the laser after the 2nd move

@Dolphiner Thank you :D Well done solving it!
Dolphiner 15 Jun, 2021 @ 6:03am
Great job, each step flowed really nicely into the next.

@Spacekitten97 Thanks :D I'm glad you liked this one. Near the beginning there is a fairly subtle step indeed, it can be hard to spot
SpKi 8 Jan, 2020 @ 7:45am
Really good map. For some reason I got stuck at the beginning for way too long :p. Either way, those two cube respawns were fantastic. Such a small area, yet so many clever steps. Favorite.
Spider_Dawg 5 Oct, 2019 @ 11:07am
@Mikeastro thanks, but I get frustrated sometimes. I often have trouble even when I know what needs to be done. I just posted a short video clip to Eight to demonstrate what I mean. I always have fun, but it's more fun when I can solve them on my own.
Mikeastro  [author] 29 Sep, 2019 @ 11:09am
@Spider_Dawg Haha well for what it's worth you seem to be quite an able puzzle solver, if you ask me :P I'm really glad that you liked this one :D
Spider_Dawg 29 Sep, 2019 @ 10:56am
Woohoo!!! Finally a puzzlemap/mappuzzle that even I can solve!!! Had fun doing it too. Once up in the grated room, I quickly saw that I could hit the respawn catcher from the button , but took a bit longer to see that I could hit the other catcher also . That's just me, should have seen it right away.

@kimist108 Glad you liked it! And thanks for teaching me a new idiom :]

I was actually in the right place with everything correctly placed and did not realize it at first. Then, it hit me. Tickled pink.

@Teo My apologies :| But thanks for playing :]

This made my brain sad

@quatrus Thank you very much! It's indeed a little tricky to see. Happy new year! (Just 2 mins left for me o_O)

Laser puzzles can be very long to dissect the solution. This one had me going around in circles and getting frustrated - Thanks to Nock for the end move to get the laser and cube in place. Thanks for creating. Inspired!
nock 17 Dec, 2018 @ 1:56am
Very nice puzzle. Considering you started out totally un-inspired, I think it turned out perfectly OK :)

@asears16 Once more a very enjoyable video to watch! How hard the map seems indeed depends on how quickly you spot the 'trick'. I'm glad you liked it :D
asears16 13 Dec, 2018 @ 5:40pm
This one took me an embarassingly long time to complete, but I had fun doing so! It was a great laser puzzle in such a small area. :D

Very awesome map indeed and very cool music! Great work indeed!
Mikeastro  [author] 1 Dec, 2018 @ 12:08pm
@NG Midd I'm glad you liked the puzzle. I tried moving the fizzler back, but since the laser receivers slightly protrude you could still pull it off about equally easily. Sadly moving the whole area back a square further would mess up some angles and make it kinda ugly, so I decided to leave it at this. And you managed to strafe jump? Must be my poor execution then for I couldn't do it - I'll tackle that in an update soon.
Midd 1 Dec, 2018 @ 11:57am
Woke up with a clear head and completed this after half an hour. To me it felt more like a 6/10, but maybe that's because I was so tired when I attempted to solve it yesterday. I really loved the logic of this puzzle.

And as for the quick-pull fizzler issue, can't you just move the fizzler back so the cube is out of reach? And it is possible to do a simple strafe jump back down to the blue gel area. Shouldn't be too hard to fix? Anyway thumbs up.

Fumbly Bumbly 28 Nov, 2018 @ 10:49pm
Awesome puzzle! Took me a little while to see how to get started. Very nice portal preservation and management and great music. Thumbs up and added to my favourites!
Mikeastro  [author] 28 Nov, 2018 @ 10:21am
@Leomievs I'm happy to hear you liked it :) I'll just leave it at 4/10 for now then
Leo 28 Nov, 2018 @ 9:52am
Very nice map, took a bit of thought. As far as I'm concerned, I feel like 4/10 difficulty is pretty accurate. I tried to break it by 'quick-pulling cube through fizzlers' but couldn't make it useful :P
Mikeastro  [author] 28 Nov, 2018 @ 3:02am
@bullfrog Thanks for playing :) And yeah I was unsure about rating it a 4/10 or 5/10, maybe I'll change it
bullfrog 28 Nov, 2018 @ 2:42am
An "inspired" puzzle that you definitely have to think through; I really enjoyed that. Working out that you had to re-spawn the cube twice felt more like 5/10 to me. I did pretty much the same as @libbybapa’s solution.
Mikeastro  [author] 27 Nov, 2018 @ 10:30pm
@jandlml Excellent! Glad you liked it
jandlml 27 Nov, 2018 @ 8:21pm
great map! looks like i did it the way libbybaba did it. definitely took a bit of thought how to respawn the cube.
Mikeastro  [author] 27 Nov, 2018 @ 1:08am
@Joric *applauds* I hope you found the puzzle a little less boring :)
Joric 27 Nov, 2018 @ 12:57am
Another boring pixel-perfect 1-minute display from me: https://youtu.be/UznyBLZm7JI please do not applaud. That was everything but easy, probably took 8-10 minutes.
Mikeastro  [author] 26 Nov, 2018 @ 11:22pm
@Nobody No-One Thank you for both the video and the feedback. Looks pretty optimal to me :)
@jgaultney It happens to us all at times :P I'm glad you liked it in the end!
jgaultney 26 Nov, 2018 @ 5:54pm
A very good laser puzzle! It took me far longer to solve than it should have, simply because
I was overlooking something obvious. :steamfacepalm:
The alignment of the "X" laser collector while standing near the button behind the grating. :steamfacepalm: :steamfacepalm:
Nobody No-One 26 Nov, 2018 @ 4:22pm
Excellent puzzle. Very elegant. I think 4/10 is about right for the difficulty.

Here's my speedy solution (Joric-style, though it is a bit suboptimal): https://youtu.be/XSnHvj8RDIg
