As far as making it more than 10 players: you can do that by going into system chat and typing "host_max_players X", X being the number of players. Note that that only allows more players to join the server; TTS only supports up to 10 seated players, so 2 could only spectate.
Sorry if I was unclear but the mission logs at the bottom are not scripted. It's the avatar tokens that are scripted; they should automatically create themselves when a player enters, but that's it. The rest is there as a completely optional tracking system for the players to manually interact with.
You use it by taking those avatar tokens that spawn and dropping them into the infinite bags so that you have an endless supply of each one. After a mission ends, place its Mission Log card in the white space above the next tracking sheet. Use the "marker tallies" (simple black tokens) to mark whether the mission passed/failed/was sabotaged, and use those player avatar tokens to track who was Captain and who was on the Mission Team (Crew).
Thanks, and hope you enjoy the game!
1 - We always did the voting using the player tiles that spawn in; all voting players would hold their tile over the podium and on the count of 3 simultaneously pick Yes/No by dropping our tiles into the respective zone.
2 - Left behind characters do NOT contribute to mission pools, instead they may discard & draw a new card after everyone returns to the rec room.
3 - Tied up characters may not leave the rec room, so no they do not contribute. In addition, being tied up means you don't get to discard & draw either,. You are considered "freed" when the turn ends.
4 - The only players who do NOT draw back up to 5 are players who were left behind; they get to do the discard & draw instead. One of the few times I can think of that a left behind player may have less 5 and not draw is if they were sent to extinguish a fire/smoke but weren't part of the Investigation.
Hope that helps!
When a character is left behind, they still contribute to pools?
Tied up character still contributes to pools?
Perhaps most confusing for me - When redrawing up to 5, who doesn't draw up to 5?

Any idea what object this is supposed to be?
A standee and token of your Steam avatar should appear automatically near the bottom of the table when you load in (or take a seat, I don't remember). You shouldn't have to do anything.
@Michael Phelpz
I'm confused as to how to get the character icon to show up on the figurine. I place it in the rec room and then add what to my name? How do I add to my name?
The version that is in Tabletop Sim does not have a print-and-play version. However, it is partly based off of an unofficial expansion that IS print-and-play ready. Steam keep removing my link but if you just search "How we improved The Thing Board Game" you should be able to find it. It's on Medium.com .
The version that is on TTS has a little of my work put in and a lot of Michael Phelpz's. Keep in mind it hasn't really been play tested. Let me know if you need help understanding how any of it works.
Glad to help. I sent you a friend invite; if you've got a minute, I'll invite you into a server with and answer any questions you have.
Yea please help us about the expansion. Or, if there is a scripted button to make expansion on/off, it would be perfect.
I have no idea whats the new table with tasks on it, for example.
Character figurines have been re-uploaded. They are in a bag above the player mats. You'll probably have to persevere and ignore the error message when the scripting takes place. Not idea, sorry.
If you guys need help understanding anything on the new table/in the expansion, let me know; I'm happy to help.
And thanks for that feedback! Table setup definitely looks different now, but all the changes are meant to help setup and improve the flow of the game. If more people mention that it's too confusing, though, I'll look into making some QoL changes.
So apparently the scripting uses imgur and pastebin to host the avatar figurine images. The imgur link from your list is just the Steam logo, but I can upload that to the cloud to avoid the error message.
I will add the original character figurines and put them in a bag near the character mats. You guys can use those instead of the avatar figurines that don't load for you. You can also place those character figurines into the infinite bags and still make use of the mission tracker.

Another feedback; the main table looks much more complicated now. It would be good to be able to delete/hide extention related things.
I was just feeling ready to play and teach my friends after 4 hours of practice, now the whole table is different! LOL
Can you upload those new assets to steam as you did in the previous versions?
