Damn this was hard! I had to look at solution. Fun map!

Nice puzzle! Quite enjoyed the effort needed to move the cube properly. realizing why the giant death fizzler was around was probably the key step. Visuals were of course great - I'll add that I accidentally picked up a few of those large falling panels with my funnel and blocked off a surface for a little while, haha.

I really appreciate your kind comments! and I am very happy you enjoyed the puzzle :)

Amazing visuals combined with a mind-boggling puzzle, it's definitely one of my all time favorites! Thanks a lot for this experience! Can't imagine why it has "only" 4 stars...

Man that was something else. I play a lot of community maps and that one had some of the most beautiful aesthetics I've seen. The puzzle had me scratching my head at every step, I spent a good half hour on it, it is a very elegant solution. Really just a masterpiece all around, thanks so much for making it, hope to see more from you!

I had to move the portal up a bit in the exit room to clear the debris on the floor near the receiver.

Looking at my comment on the original; I didn’t do it as intended and didn’t work out what the required so9lution was. This time, I’m pretty confident I got the intended solution, so time to look.

Great portal management puzzle which stumped me for quite some time, with sublime aesthetics to boot. Incredible work, this is up there with the greats -- thumbs up and faved :)

This is some of the most stunning hammer work I have ever seen.

I don't remember playing the original. I found out why when I read my stupid comment on its page ;D
Now that I managed to beat it the intended way, I feel proud of myself. It was quite a challenge for me. I liked it very much :)
Mikeastro 26 Apr, 2020 @ 4:32pm
Super cool hammer work! I think I played the original on stream last year, so fortunately I still remembered most of the solution :] Still it's a very good puzzle and the aesthetics were plain beautiful. Huge thumbs up!
Shane  [author] 25 Apr, 2020 @ 3:28pm
@crhoaviet6 thats interesting, that normally happens because of the funnel. I am glad you liked the map :)
crhoaviet6 25 Apr, 2020 @ 2:07pm
To clarify my previous comment: it seems that the cube's collisions with the player are disabled until a certain point.

Also, this puzzle is very devious (but fair). The last step is especially elusive.
Panca 25 Apr, 2020 @ 2:23am
Wow, I'm astonished how great that was. And it was hard! Definitely a favourite, hope your hard work pays out well!
crhoaviet6 24 Apr, 2020 @ 6:48pm
Beautiful, beautiful Hammer work. Did you mean for the cube not to have collisions?
Shane  [author] 24 Apr, 2020 @ 12:33pm
@jgaultney thanks for playing :)
jgaultney 24 Apr, 2020 @ 8:57am
I was three-quarters of the way through the solution before recognizing/remembering
the original. :)) Great Hammer work! :bigups: Fav'ed.
Shane  [author] 24 Apr, 2020 @ 7:04am
@yukidae thanks for finding that, should be fixed now!
yukidae 24 Apr, 2020 @ 12:33am
I think I didn't solved it in the right way..
I just used portals to inclined the laser without passing by any of the fizzlers, a portal where the laser was and the other on the water surface, a little inclined and it was done without doing much effort!
That map looks great tho, I loved the style!
Sunnycloud 23 Apr, 2020 @ 10:12pm
Who can tell me how to pass? It's too hard
Denis [Rus] 22 Apr, 2020 @ 10:33am

Teo 21 Apr, 2020 @ 11:00am
Beautiful map design, and even though I had played the original, this one still took some thought to resolve
Shane  [author] 21 Apr, 2020 @ 10:20am
@Pikajew for sure! most schools have a game design major now. Check it out if that's something that interests you
Lorefunder 21 Apr, 2020 @ 10:18am
A level design class sounds awesome. I may even look into that where I'm going because I'm going into college this fall, who knows!
Shane  [author] 21 Apr, 2020 @ 10:15am
@Skairul thanks for finding that! will fix soon....
Shane  [author] 21 Apr, 2020 @ 10:13am
@Pikajew Thank you! It is for a level design class I am taking for college.
Skairul 21 Apr, 2020 @ 10:13am
A phenomenal puzzle, tied to a nice and smooth transition from Overgrown to Clean. Loved it!
(I'm not sure if this would make the chamber easier, but the exposed wall right above the 256-unit high fizzler can be shot through, thus allowing the player to get the excursion funnel without having to walk through the fizzler.)
Lorefunder 21 Apr, 2020 @ 10:13am
Looks great so far, and I'll play it soon. Also, it's cool that this is a final project! What type of class is it for?
