To flood, I simply used the 'Water Reflective' asset and put it over the route to cover some things in water. It's pretty simple.
If it's not appearing in scenarios or in the route builder after you've placed it, then double -click it and set the detail level to 10. The update for TS15 made all assets with low detail level go invisible in scenarios.
Hope this helps.
Yes, of course you're allowed. I might need to make the route final first, but go ahead for the moment.
Steam locos wouldn't be able to run either because the water may get above the fire height and put it out.
So basically no trains would be able to run in a flood...
But this route has to have trains. So 3rd Rail or whatever, I'm keeping the 377's because it looks very strange and comical.
It would be, but the Ryde Tunnel is a problem. The water goes too high even when the water is as low as the track. Perhaps one day...
So many comments??? Thanks for the praise.
I've been to the beautiful Isle of Arran several times, and I think it's time to get 'Scotland in miniature' into the simulation world...
To flood a route, get a 'Water Reflective' asset and stretch it as far as it will go, then put it down on the desired level of land. The best results come from below the passenger and cab view heights.
Ok, thanks :)
I look forward to your other routes coming soon! By the way, how do you flood a certain part of the route like you did with this?
I don't have the Riviera line but I do have the PDL and Isle of Wight. It would be fun to flood them both, so I might do it. I'm very busy at the moment (I have about 10 routes and a few scenarios going at once!), but I'll try to get round to doing them.
A new route inspired by Thameslink...
Glad to be a help!
Thanks for the positive feedback!
It's actually very easy. I simply get a 'Decal Water Reflective' asset and stretch it as far as it will go, then I put it down onto the desired level on the land. The best results come from below the passenger and cab view camera heights. It is very fun to watch the water come 'flooding' in. In this route, Clapham Junction and London Victoria are flooded!
Hope this answers your question
This is a work in progress, I will eventually reach Brighton and the south. I just thought that the Thames would be a fun place to start!
I think Boris is in BIG TROUBLE with the government for letting the Thames flood! :)
thanks for the reply. it does answer my question. i didnt know that we can make routes
This isn't a scenario, it's a route. Unfortunately I don't know how to create standard and career scenarios, but with this route is included Quick Drive from East Croydon to Victoria and vice versa, and a free roam from Clapham Junction.
Hope this answers your question!
