@FenFenScreeScree - this submod was seperated from the main mod because it modifies more files (see above list). Since a total conversion mod also modifies a lot of files, there is quite likely a conflict. You could try to change the mod load order, however there is a good chance that a compatch would need to be written by someone.
FenFenScreeScree 14 aug 2024 om 19:06
I've confirmed it's this specific submod that is causing nonstop CTD on start up, so it's got to be conflicting with SOMETHING. I just can't narrow down what it is. It could simply be that it's because I'm using AGOT which is a total conversion. The base mod works fine, just not this one.

Updated for 1.9
TheLoneWanderer 19 jun 2023 om 12:21
I could be the 5th person to type "1,9", however I believe that one person posting the message without asking nicely or praising the modder is already bad enough.

I don't think spamming a similar message is going to inspire a modder in the least.

And every subsequent useless message with "1.9" or "update" just sucks the life out of the unpaid modders that choose to work on mods in their free time, and share their effort with the community.
Dawkins 19 jun 2023 om 8:32
1.9?
Parysz 15 jun 2023 om 3:34
Does it need an update or still works as intended on 1.9?
Eshminima 14 mei 2023 om 22:57
1.9
Narcus 12 mei 2023 om 8:00
Is this compatible with 1.9?
iGeo 3 mei 2023 om 14:22
It gives CTD if you have this mod below the agot mod, move it over the agot mod on the list and works fine.
iGeo 3 mei 2023 om 13:36
Great mods! This submod gives CTD if you try to use it with the AGOT mod, with only the main Vassals to arms mod works fine.
PhazezGova 11 mrt 2023 om 15:25
Great @Degreeno

@Coach - it may not exonerate this mod, however I have played with this mod on 1.8.x for about ~80 hours if I include observation games and have not had a crash, I have had observation games run for ~12 hours continuously and have not had an issue. I have ~40 mods in my playset
Coach 26 dec 2022 om 6:01
ok, I have been testing for days my 80 mods.. the 1.8 update is an absolute nightmare.. It adds very little yet completely broke 99% of my all my mods..
For me, the vassal to arms mod and this AI submod, works sometimes for a while then it might crash. 1.8 update rendered my game unpredictable and unreliable. I cant tell which mods are still malfunctionning.. I might play for hours, then suddenly I get unrelenting CTD's.

In my opinion this mod is one of the culprits.

Is this compatible with 1.7?
DCxWavy 5 okt 2022 om 11:15
Hey brotha man, does this work with 1.7.2?

compatible with 1.7?
Eight 13 jul 2022 om 11:03
Excuse me guys, can anyone confirm that the mod does what the description says?Because in my playthrough the map feels more unstable and chaotic using this mod, which makes the game easier and boring.Any iformation is welcome.
Degreeno  [auteur] 2 jul 2022 om 13:10
@Loken It is working again, but is not and will (most likely) not become a part of the main mod, because it changes too many existing files and is therefore predestinated to cause compatibility issues with other mods.
@Kodeks This mod only focuses on the AI decision making of declaring wars, not how they act during a war. I don't know if changing that behaviour is even possible.
Degreeno  [auteur] 2 jul 2022 om 13:05
Updated for 1.6 Fate of Iberia
Агент Габена 30 jun 2022 om 10:09
is it working?
FI 24 jun 2022 om 20:57
Is this mod still working?
GEMINIxECLIPSE 5 jun 2022 om 0:21
@loken I don't think so, ai mods tend to break things when they are outdated.
Loken 4 jun 2022 om 9:09
Is this mod still working / is the function of this mod allready integrated into the normal Vassal to arms mod ?
Kodeks 16 feb 2022 om 7:45
I think this should be fixed as a priority. Mod about vassals, but which are not taken into account in the war...
Kodeks 16 feb 2022 om 6:08
@Degreeno, This creates a problem with AI, for example in such a war for the kingdom. The AI just got up and I couldn't get him to walk in any way.

@Degreeno - you mention above that "The affected defenders (getting a new liege) are currently NOT part of the calculation. Depending on the performance impact I will most likely add this as well in a later update."

Have you had a chance to test? -if I can help, just let me know.
Degreeno  [auteur] 13 feb 2022 om 1:42
@Coach
Yes.
Coach 12 feb 2022 om 15:58
Will this work with current saves?
TheLoneWanderer 12 feb 2022 om 11:26
Excellent! Thank you
Degreeno  [auteur] 12 feb 2022 om 10:34
@TheLoneWanderer
There were some minor changed, that would revert some new features added by RC (like some cultural pillar ones).
I adjusted it to them and it should now work, while including the new features of RC.
TheLoneWanderer 9 feb 2022 om 14:21
@Degreeno - does this mod need to be updated?
Croco 23 jan 2022 om 8:24
Great addition to the main mod. Really helps off set the awful lack of vassal MAA contribution in vanilla.

It seems just about every other mod which adds a call to arms mechanic makes no attempt to factor in the AI decision making process. Those make the game an unbalanced mess. In the absence of a vassal MMA system, this mod and it's features should be a part of the main game as a reasonable abstraction of defensive systems such as themata, regional askars etc.
kgptzac 4 jan 2022 om 16:54
Taking a wild guess here according to list of modified file... this won't be compatible with other mods that changes vanilla CB?
Jason-faf 20 dec 2021 om 8:29
@loom11 second that. Some important CB wars like Seljuk, Norman, Mongol and those viking brother Invasion deserve special care.
BTW: Thanks for your work, I plan to use your mods when RC DLC comes out.
loom11 30 okt 2021 om 18:14
Could you also add an exception in the options for the seljuk invasion of the byzantine empire? It's also a war starting on the 1066 bookmark
Degreeno  [auteur] 29 sep 2021 om 12:59
@n00bGingrich
I have checked and both mods do not edit any "casus_belli_types" files that this mods edits, therefore it should work just fine.
n00bGingrich 27 sep 2021 om 19:26
Would this interfere with Submission to Authority or SoW?
Rortell 18 sep 2021 om 13:49
I am totally fine with it changing it, was shocked when I looked at the Normans getting stomp with Harold's 18000 troops as I am a little count in Wales. I did see the settings in there, but wanted to see what it could do and it did shock me, but then again I feel like that is a little more accurate to history because Kings would call their vassals to battle. I never understood in this game why vassals wouldn't come to liege's aid in battles.
Degreeno  [auteur] 18 sep 2021 om 7:46
@Rortell
That is part of the main mod's functionality, not of this sub mod.
For this purpose, I added a decision to enable/disable casus bellis this mod should work with. After starting a 1066 run, you can trigger the "VtA - Settings" decision and disable the "Norwegian Invasion" and "Norman Conquest" and then it won't apply to them.
Rortell 18 sep 2021 om 0:58
This mod completely changes 1066 Northern Europe. William the Bastard has NO chance against King Harold...
Coach 13 sep 2021 om 9:38
He did it! The awaited sub mod!
