I think that goes against mvm's theme of having robo related stuff drop so unless they made a new tour that somehow involved strangifiers I don't think that would work (and there's no way they're adding a new tour lol).
There is no reason to care about prices dropping, it happens with literally every item that is tradable. And because these aren't actually new items there's no impact on the price of the items they apply to. I don't know why yall are talking about existing economy stuff. The only price impact implementation of this is going to have is if they actually made the 2nd crate drop less and I mean that's just common supply demand.
I believe they moved away from crates because cases made the compensation part to effect makers easier, however this crate shouldn't have any issues with that because (I think) no one needs compensation for strangifiers coming from here or any of the OG unu effects (I wouldn't say no to like 0.01% of sales or w/e, but I'm not expecting anything more than a shoutout in patch notes, IF it's added at all anyway). With that in mind there's no reason why valve should be opposed to crates for this use case imo.
+more interest in doing easier mvm missions
+less likely for price to drop drastically because playing mvm takes time
+money for valve from buying mvm tickets
possible cons that i thought about:
-The two cities "elite" would probably play a lot to farm new items, so the toxicity in lower campaigns would possibly rise.
-it could take some time for strangifiers to drop to reasonable price (first drops would sell for a lot more because it's not so easy to farm them).
But that just my thoughts...
As for the jumpers, I think a fun counter would be "self-damage prevented" since, yknow, you cant kill with it and merely having it as a cosmetic strange wouldn't need it to be used, despite being a 'weapon'
My Collectors Objector is SCREAMING for this strangifier to be added.
@Rifleman crates* not cases. I did not modify the crate name because that would have required a new line in the language files. And personally I think it would be neat of them to make these crates draw from every case specific unusual effect instead of the gen1-3 pool so that old hats would be able to get some newer effects. That probably requires a lot of work to get proper payouts to the effect creators though so I did not include the idea in the post or attempt to make the schema use it (not sure I could).

What about calling them as "Unknown Player's Forgotten Case Series" ?
And adding REAL cosmetics ?
