Maybe I can add a button that drops a cage for the PAP tower at some point. Like how if you use the Hacker on the PAP machine in the map Moon. Some things I meant to add, but never did, were an AFK room for co-op and a time trials feature similar to GK/Rev, so perhaps I'll add these features in at some point, along with something for the PAP tower. The Rampage Inducer was something I added post-release, so unlike a lot of map makers, I'm not against adding/changing stuff much later after releasing. I know eventually I'd like for mid-high waves and beyond (35+) to get even more frantic as things can become too easy with 3 upgraded weapons and 27 pro perks. That being said, the only thing I'll guarantee being added in a future update would be some weapons (and perhaps remove some of the more redundant ones to make room for them).

You can actually safely use the PAP machine every match if you utilize Cold Blooded Pro and/or Ninja's sneaking ability btw. I usually wouldn't think to put PAP in such a precarious spot, but I really wanted the tower to have some sort of functional use as it's a centralized and elevated position that looks like it'd have something important.

I'm glad you like the map despite this, and I understand why you dislike the PAP location since the map can crash upon game over. Strangely I know there's a few people who don't crash, somehow.

I'll be doing more maps with MWZ built in, with one planned for August or maybe sooner, but right now I'm actually working on a map for NoahJ456's competition which has a unique twist to it! I'll probably update it post-release to also support my MWZ mod. Any new updates for the MWZ mod will also be applied to this map and any other maps with the mod built into them. ill rephrase cause I was being mean and unnecessary.

Its a amazing map, definitely enjoyed it more than most and it made me wanna try the main mod. I even wanted to see another map for this mod specifically. If I were you though, I would literally NEVER put a pack a punch machine, or anything the player uses frequently in a spot like that again. Its less dangerous and more f you this is your situation now. better end the round or else. I could deal with a maze or even minimal space but there are fish bowls with more quality of life than that.

puts enough assets to crash the game every time the game ends but cant come up with a better pap spot than the most annoying choice he could've possibly made lol. Why cant yall be fun.

@jusrko I'm glad you like it! Be sure to try out my MWZ mod (which is where all of these mechanics come from) if you'd like to try out similar gameplay with the stock Treyarch maps if you haven't already. I'll be updating the mod and this map sometime soon-ish (next month or so?), as well as releasing another survival map with the mod built in like this one with that update. If I ever remade Rust, I would visually overhaul it so it's not the same as the other versions that already exist (not a desert). There's other MP maps I have partially remade from COD4, MW2, and MW3. It's just a matter of finishing them. And there may be some MP map remakes from games that aren't MW...

@ImKindaTerrible It's not available yet. Planned for a future update. Probably not the next major update, but the one after it (I have a timeline of things left to do before I'm done with MWZ stuff).

and i only play the perks gamemode
i just play so that my brain can start thinking and me playing is just a background thing
really love this map
if you make another OG map with the same system i would def play it a lot (not rust plz)

map is super fun and creative. my only complaint would be that everytime the game ends (i die or end game) after the end cutscene it closes my game. idk if that is a map or game issue but i figured i would bring it to light in case.

That would be a troll weapon (the upgraded MK18 Mod 1 from MW2019, aka the "M4A1"). It is one of my finest creations. My favorite feature is how it constantly "jams" (you slap the gun to get it to work again). Truly a thing of beauty. :lol:

(Aim for the head if you're having trouble with it for Gun Game. Body shots are practically useless.)

Thanks. The Rampage Inducer is located in the center where it is because spawns are randomized between the 2 rooms on opposing sides of the map, otherwise I would've put it right where you spawn. I have several other MP remakes planned with the MWZ mod integrated into them. No ETA though as I haven't been modding as of late.

Very enjoyable map. The beginning rounds are a bit slow however as sometimes zombies spawn across the map from you and you're forced to wait for them to awkwardly walk over(but i imagine this is a byproduct of the double spawns).

It might be a good idea to move the rampage inducer into the 2 spawn points instead as a potential workaround for this.

@Tigertail5000 I couldn't tell you either. I only have a GTX 970 and performance is fine for me with such dated hardware. Like I've said, it's not something that anyone else has complained about, and my much weaker PC runs the map smoothly, so it's not the map which is at fault. I hope you can figure it out.

This map doesn't have a stuttering issue, so I don't know what you're talking about. This is the first I'm hearing about it, so I can safely assume it's an issue or misunderstanding of something on your end.

The guns aren't buggy. Chances are you're trying to force yourself to sprint while reloading, not realizing that it's impossible to do so without the Lightweight perk. You literally cannot use your weapon under these circumstances (reloading and sprinting simultaneously). This is an intentional change. Some people don't catch on to what's happening because it looks weird when the script is stopping you from sprint-reloading (a side effect of the game engine trying to force an automatic reload, which I cannot disable, so it will sadly remain looking weird).

If what you were indeed trying to do was reload while sprinting, then I recommend trying out the map again with this knowledge in mind.
Please provide more specific details if this wasn't the issue you were describing. Thanks.

unfortunately this map seems to have some sort of a stuttering issue and also the guns seem very buggy.

I read those and didn't see anything that useful aside from buying a perk that slows him. I think i got him low and he started sprinting, at that point my sprint seemed to be slower so i just died.

Skill issue. No offense. I can outrun him and kill him easily with zero movement or damage perks and a weapon that isn't upgraded. See my previous comments on the subject for advice on how to counter him.

@Phoenix420 The Juggernaut boss won't be nerfed. You can escape him after being hit or just avoid him entirely very easily. See my previous comments on the subject if you need advice. Also you're not the first person to report zombies respawning, but I couldn't reproduce the issue on my end, so I won't be able to address it at this time.

Also a little issue I've found is that if you play solo and spawn of sleight of hand side the zombie spawns are very slow and inconsistent with a lot of them just dying. Also an issue on solo I've noticed is if the jugg hits you once you can't run away from his attacks at all and even had the perks to sprint faster. Maybe if you mantle over something it would work but if you get caught in the open and get hit you're just done for.

@Ped_UK No need to apologize, I appreciate the feedback and I'm happy you like the map. Slowly yet surely I've been doing minor updates for the MWZ mods+map, adding little things and addressing issues. It's a steady, continuous process. Hopefully I'll have another map ready before the end of the year if life permits.

@Phoenix420 I guess it didn't recompile my changes last update, so only the collision for the perk station spawned. I've fixed it on my end, so this bug will be squashed with the incoming update.

@shaun.henry12 Thanks for letting me know. I'll look into it tomorrow and probably update tomorrow too.

Whenever I try to play the nuke roulette mode, the fire sale never spawns at the beginning of each round. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Whats the deal with hardline not showing up in my game? The collision was there but the machine wasn't and I couldn't buy the perk.

@Raptroes, thanks for your reply. Apologies if I was vague, my bad for that. I generally go for the evac around round 20ish , nothing spectacular. If it helps, it was doing it an awful lot when I was at the "peak" of a double jump with low gravity enabled but the other day I was simply running along the ground to get to the mystery box and it just stuttered, black screen then desktop. Frustrating because I'd to try a high round game. Anyway I know finding bugs like this is like a needle in a haystack, I'll still play it as I love the simple, yet chaotic personality of the map :)

Oh, I can't help you with that then. I've never crashed during gameplay and it's not something I've seen anyone else ever mention. I'm not doubting you though. I'd have to know what you're doing differently to even guess what's causing you grief. If it's just surviving to higher rounds, I can't say I have any interest whatsoever to look into it, as that's too vague/broad and you shouldn't play beyond a certain point anyways. If you know for certain what specifically is causing the issue, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Your previous comment was very similar to other comments and kind of vague, so I assumed you meant on game over. It lacks any details that could lead me to find whatever the issue might be, so I won't be able to do anything for you at the moment. I'm glad you still like the map though.

" But none of that applies to me, I didn't say anything about long load times, or it crashing while trying to exit/restart the map, and I didn't have any mods loaded. It simply crashes during gameplay to desktop

A lot of others have missed the warning at the top too lol. Unfortunately the game freaks out when you try loading MWZ twice due to the absurd amount of stuff in both the mod and map.

I did consider releasing the map without any innate features and "requiring" people to use the MWZ mod before loading the map, but people would either be too dumb or lazy to load it up first and then complain the map has no custom anything in it (weapons, perks, etc).

There's nothing I can do about that since the overwhelming majority of players on Steam either don't use mods or wouldn't even think/want to download/load one first. (It would also suck for people who don't have MWZ to download both the mod and map, just to try out Killhouse.)

And maybe BO6 will have interesting ideas with their "perk augments" for Melee Macchiato that I can take inspiration from to make Commando Pro more interesting.

Although, obviously I still want to avoid making the perk too good for points farming.

Then perhaps the chain lightning effect could be utilized for something else if I did rework Commando's Pro ability.

I'll probably add a few more of the mutators that are available in the mod, but not the map, such as which perks are granted to you by Specialist (200/400/600 streak rewards). That should improve things for you.

(Eventually I need to fix the in-game mutator menus which have been kind of scuffed for a while, with the descriptions trailing off the screen lol.)

Fair, Strange that my conclusion was wrong but still lead to an issue XD. But yeah, With Strike Package, I use the M9 and Tac knife, Hence why that works. Also, How do we change what perks we earn with Specialist? As earning Commando is useless to me as it's the first perk I buy in the game anyway

Okay, so I've figured out the issue. (I have a custom console command that can tell me the progress of a perk upgrade for testing these sorts of things.) It's 100% unrelated to the Strike Package you select. As I've told you, the kill streak and perk challenges systems are not connected.

The problem is an "is primary weapon" check in the script. Your inventory/offhand melee isn't counting due to it expecting a primary weapon to increment the challenge. (Meanwhile, M9+Tacknife is a primary weapon.) I had this check in place because silly things such as grenades were counting for stat tracking that didn't make sense (e..g, headshot kills with throwing knives).

Because BO3 is weird, this means other things are affected, such as your left-handed weapons not counting towards the point-blank kills challenge. Thanks again for the feedback, as while your conclusion may have been off, it did lead me to find the issue, and for that I appreciate it.

Yeah I know it's Point Blank kills and not melee kills, However with the Assault strike package, I do the Commando pro perk challenge with only melee kills and it works fine, But with the specialist, Melee kills do not work

No thanks, it's meant to be a tradeoff. Melee becomes even more lethal, but you can't farm points as easily. This is deliberate. You've probably noticed I tend to discourage melee with some of the changes I've made (slower base melee).

Making points is extremely easy in BO3 (the points system unchanged in my map/mod), so there's no reason for you to be melee points farming by the time you've got Commando Pro unlocked.

If your goal is to cheese earning points, keep the M9+Tacknife (Assault loadout) and upgrade that weapon instead of using the Commando perk.

This map is really awesome, but PLEASE change commando pro. You get it pro, and the electric melee gives you less points. I'm trying to farm points with melee, and it is very frustrating when the perk goes pro.

There's no direct connection between the perk challenges and kill streak systems. I went into a match and was able to upgrade Commando. I was sure to buy the perk before Specialist gave it to me.

The issue you're experiencing is probably you trying to get melee kills, when the challenge is getting point-blank kills (the pop up text will tell you what type of kills you get). Melee kills should also count towards that, but for some reason they no longer do (they used to), so you'll have to get point-blank kills with your gun until I can look into it. I typically upgrade the perk this way and it's not too hard to do. Thanks for the bug report.
