@garrzz Jim Crow gets blocked in states with > 60% Afro-American population, so its possible you ended up with an Afro-American minority in every state. I might want to reduce that threshold if its too hard to reach.
Bananaman 8 Jul @ 3:08am
@CaelReader Weird, the only other mod i have is morgenrote, which the description says should be compatible
garrzz 7 Jul @ 11:50pm
Hey, just reporting a potential bug. I got 80% progress with reconstruction before it timed out, and the event descriptions said the south was divided between free states and Jim Crow states. Despite this, *every* southern state was hit with the permanent Jim Crow modifier. What is in error here, the event description or the modifiers?
CaelReader  [author] 7 Jul @ 1:52pm
@Bananaman can't replicate, sounds like a mod conflict
Bananaman 7 Jul @ 3:00am
It also seems like something with colonising in general broke from that event, as my colonies in Nebraska and Minnesota keep getting abandonned halfway through colonising a province.
Bananaman 7 Jul @ 2:36am
Where should i post questions about potential bugs for you to see? In my game i got the Horse Creek treaty to give me and british columba the provinces along the oregon trail, but the day afterwards my half all goes back to the natives for some reason, even if i start colonising immediatly. I have tried both options in the event but in both cases my half gets decolonised.
CaelReader  [author] 6 Jul @ 11:27am
@Ahriman Ah. No, that kind of province-level border negotiation is not a priority for me, especially where it would create tiny non-viable split states.
Ahriman 6 Jul @ 11:06am
@CaelReader I should've probably clarified that I meant for the diplomatic side of things since there at least 3 different proposals on how to settle it without war. The first one being the one we got irl, the second being the border following the 49th parallel all the way through Vancouver island, and the third following 49th until it hits the Columbia river and then following that to the Pacific
CaelReader  [author] 6 Jul @ 11:01am
@Sidatarias For ideological reasons, the Douglass update adding post-reconstruction Black history must come first. Then maybe after that I'll add CSA content. I expect CSA players will not like what I have in store for them.
CaelReader  [author] 6 Jul @ 10:59am
@Pamparampampamparam They use the new Law Variants system added in 1.9 which means all existing ideologies automatically treat them as the original law for opinion purposes.
Pamparampampamparam 6 Jul @ 10:54am
Is it necessary to add slightly tweaked laws specific to only America, like the religion and protectionism law? Feel's kinda inelegant when vanilla Freedom of Conscious and and Protectionism would do fine imo.
Sidatarias 6 Jul @ 9:56am
Hey Cael,

Thanks for this awesome mod! I know youve already answered on the CSA content, but is there any ETA on when we would see the first iteration of flavour for the CSA?
CaelReader  [author] 6 Jul @ 8:19am
@Ahriman if the us-british relationship breaks down the US switches to the Annex Oregon JE and can push to claim British Columbia as well
Ahriman 6 Jul @ 12:18am
Are there any alternate resolutions to the Oregon boundary dispute as so far I've only seen the US get the historic borders
Primax 5 Jul @ 7:15pm
Got a potential issue where I'm not connected to Deseret yet, but they have had a native uprising. I can't get to them to help them - so they may end up boned. Will advise how it ends up.
CaelReader  [author] 5 Jul @ 3:01pm
@Pamparampampamparam The Civil War is not railroaded to occur in the mod, it's just very difficult to avoid due to the already existing historical conditions of the USA. If an Abolitionist president is elected, the Pro-Slavery movement will instantly jump to 100% activism and try to launch the civil war.
Pamparampampamparam 5 Jul @ 2:04pm
Is it possible to avoid the ACW and ban slavery or is it basically impossible now?
Ernst August von Hannover 4 Jul @ 10:37am
Happy 4th of July! Rrrraahh 🦅🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Happy 4th of July!
Hail Colombia indeed.
Muse 3 Jul @ 1:34pm
The only mod in the CMF series that's actually both up to date and worth having
CaelReader  [author] 3 Jul @ 8:25am
@Frandall There is currently no CSA content in the mod
Frandall 3 Jul @ 6:19am
Is thre flavor yet for the CSA, if switching after the civil war?
CaelReader  [author] 2 Jul @ 8:43am
I've pushed a hotfix that should help the AI colonize more properly
CaelReader  [author] 2 Jul @ 8:31am
@Mlexus Hrm, unable to replicate. The JE will invalid out if you don't have Slavery Banned or if you lack any Afro-American homeland states.
Mlexus 1 Jul @ 11:41pm
after civil war reconstruction journal entry appears for a day or so and then its completely gone, not pinned in ledger, doesnt show up in active or potential journal entries.
CaelReader  [author] 1 Jul @ 9:10pm
@JimBean working as designed
CaelReader  [author] 1 Jul @ 9:10pm
@Salty314 something is up with the ai on this, will investigate
JimBean 1 Jul @ 6:45pm
I feel like the manifest destiny modifier is really weak. I might just be too early to know, and maybe there are benefits that will become clear further down the line but right now the biggest issue is decreased infamy decay and tension decay in exchange for negligibly higher assimilation. If anything it feels like it hinders my expansion/manifesting of destiny than anything.
Salty314 1 Jul @ 10:35am
Am I the only one who almost never sees the US AI actually colonize the Lower 48 states? Any states that they start colonizing at the start they do, but ones like Minnesota and Nevada are never touched. Is a fix possible on my end?
TheNowGamer 28 Jun @ 10:00am
must be a mod conflict then ig, thank you
CaelReader  [author] 28 Jun @ 6:57am
@TheNowGamer event text in purple like that is purely localization-related. The event works fine and applies the ideology correctly to the PB.
TheNowGamer 28 Jun @ 1:42am
Found an error in event usfp_manifest_destiny.7, says missing perspecitve, third past tense? it fails to change the ideology to empire of liberty.
CaelReader  [author] 27 Jun @ 3:00pm
Pushed a mod patch that fixes the starting templates for Webster and others, and should fix the Intelligentsia ending up in the wrong party
CaelReader  [author] 27 Jun @ 2:55pm
@Blzmataz4 fixed as of the most recent mod update, but you have to start a new game
Blzmataz4 27 Jun @ 2:50pm
Very insignificant thing, Tsimshian in B.C. I believe have the same tag as the Torrie Strait Islanders in the A&NZ Flavor Pack. All this does is replace one of their names with the other depending on the load order
CaelReader  [author] 27 Jun @ 2:24pm
@Blzmataz4 oops, I missed his character template on an internal change, will fix. I dunno what's up with the Intelligentsia joining the Democrats they have a +100 to join the Liberal party.
Blzmataz4 27 Jun @ 2:08pm
Also, did you change Webster to stop being an Anti-Expansionist or is my mods messing up the character?
Blzmataz4 27 Jun @ 2:08pm
In late 1836 I was able to marginalize the Intelligentsia but they unmarginalized soon later and tried to join the Democrats post-election instead of the Republicans
CaelReader  [author] 26 Jun @ 3:25pm
@disdage no
disdage 26 Jun @ 3:16pm
Do you plan to ever expand content to individual states?
CaelReader  [author] 26 Jun @ 1:49pm
@Harold860 No, most of the mod is tied to the USA tag
Harold860 26 Jun @ 1:48pm
i was thinking of starting a campaign with a buddy where we release as many US states as possible as puppets of the federal US gov and we each play a state (likely TX & CA), would this be a good mod to use for that? We are some of the unlucky few where multiplayer campaigns only work with 1-2 mods so we have to be very strict with the mods being used.
CaelReader  [author] 26 Jun @ 8:45am
@Sidatarias there is currently no CSA content in the mod
Sidatarias 26 Jun @ 7:27am
Hello CaelReader! I really like this mod, its really flavourful! However i have a question regarding content:

Is there no content for the CSA? Whenever the pro-slavery movement triggers (around 1855-58 ish for me) the CSA secedes from the union and i like playing as them, but whenever the civil war ends in a CSA victory, all it does as player CSA is give a small buff "King Cotton" and thats it. No other content, no journal entries. Is this intended?
silverknyaz 26 Jun @ 2:26am
the latest hotfix included a change to how many IGs can join parties- it says "rarely more than 3, never more than 4" just a heads up as i know this mod has unique party code
Mlexus 25 Jun @ 4:41am
Was there an update? I like the update, much easier to get manifest points.
CaelReader  [author] 23 Jun @ 5:04pm
@trupizza thanks, will fix
Columbus 23 Jun @ 12:04pm
I would absolutely love to see this mod with an earlier start date option. 1789, with Washington as President. The US was more United than ever in terms of parties. And a 1797 start date with Adams as President. With the threat from the new French Republic, and more divided political parties.
trupizza 22 Jun @ 7:39am
The California statehood event and 1850 Compromise event both fail to turn California into a Yankee homeland like they are supposed to. The tooltip says they will, but Yankee is never actually added as a homeland. This makes purchasing Alaska impossible until California is fully colonized and naturally gains Yankee homeland status. Or until Russia asks to sell Alaska first.
Mycelia 22 Jun @ 5:25am
Alright ty, that makes sense.
