Since yesterday I'm experiencing CTD whenever I try to launch a new game or load a game when Reanimata is on, game runs normally with no mods or just Invictus on... any suggestion? Thanks

@The Trashman Yeah I am working on it for 6-7 hours now non-stop and I don't exaggerate. I guess I will be able to upload it in 1-2 weeks.

Ich have to check hundred of files for changes and searchign for errors. Also there will be a hotfix from Invictus very likely as there are several errors right now on their end listed in the error log...

please be patient as I am doing all this here alone.
I will upload a pre-beta version soon on my discord which doesn't crash but there is a ton of stuff to do let alone my own new features coming with the next update.

@Yorick Thanks for reporting this! I fixed it quickly, but I won’t upload an update until the next major Invictus release.

If you’d like to fix it yourself, just take the 02_saba_mission file from Invictus and place it in the same folder within my mod. Then open the file and replace both instances of

"has_building = basic_settlement_infratructure_building"

with

"farming_et_al_trigger = yes"

@Karma Chamelion I found this Philokles Baalshillemi already yesterday as he fitted your description but his name was shown correctly. Where was a space causing this? " Philoklês" like this? That's very odd as in my files there is nothing wrong as I only added the ê to the e.

@Lord of Liberty. I fixed it. I created a empty mod file of my own and copied the character files into it. When I went through it for EGY and compared it side by side to the original entry from Imperator. They were almost identical, except for a space at the beginning of his name, in your file. I removed the space and tested, his name now works fine. I will Continue to play test and let you know things if I find them? If you don't mind or would like me to. I apologise as I realise I'm rather persistent and annoying lol.

I've also learned how to w to add characters, I added my friend who passed away to the game. He was fascinated with Alexander the Great, so I used his DNA sequence and mod number from the readme (516) as I saw that was the first available character ID.

@Lord of Liberty I joined your discord. Also, I found the Character without your mod. _malename, with just invictus installed is Philokles Baalshillemi. A Syriote, Canaanite naval general. But with Reanimata active, he becomes _malename with no culture, but hellenic religion

@Karma Chameleon There are several ways characters can be generated. First, there are setup characters, which you can identify by their low character ID—usually between 1 and 516. Then there are historical characters created by events either at game start or later in the game (for example, Cicero is generated by my mod). Next, you have randomly generated characters from various events, whose names and skills are assigned randomly. And finally, there are characters constantly created by the game engine in the background.

To add a character, you’d need to write a simple event where you define his name and skills. If you’d like, I can share a small file with such an event that you can run in your game. We'd need to switch to Discord for that though. ^^

By the way, you can view character IDs by pressing F11, which activates debug mode—just note that it disables achievements.

@Lord of Liberty, may I ask, how do I see random generated characters? I know I can see the preset ones in setup. But how do I see the other characters in game? Or are they completely randomized script?

I want to add a friend of mine who passed away and was fascinated with the Diadoci and Ancient Greece, as a character in my game. Just. Bc. I'm a little saopy

@Karma Chamelion the Mad_NEW was a miss in the english files. You can add MAD_NEW:1 "Maedia" to new_country_tags_Rel_Cul_l_english to fix it if you want.

About the name _malename.. what is the first part of the name? egypt_malename or latin_malename or just "_malename"?? Has he a culture set?

@Lord of Liberty, Ahhhh yes, I did wonder where Alkimachid came from. As I'm a history nerd myself, so I knew it wasn't entirely accurate, of at all.

The crater _malename is a generated Egyptian citizen. He has been there on most of my playthroughs, I just add an accent and pretend he's gaullic pirate lol. I play in English. I have also noted that around 460BCE the Vassal of Maedia becomes _NEW as opposed to remaining Maedia. Now that coukd be an error I'm creating somehow, as it happens randomly in game as opposed to at the beginning.

@Karma Chamelion the missing name is mostly related to a missing entry in the loc files. Are you playing in english? Is this a starting character or a generated one?


About the name of Lysimachos. This is not a bug but a fix XD. The game is very Bad in showing names. So when possible I removed the wrong patronym. As Lysimachos is know in history as just Lysimachos, I changed it this way. His "real" name would be "Lysimachos Agothoklides" as his father was Agathokles.


With the next update I will even increase this by using names like "Peter of Athens" when minor character as all characters get a place of birth. :)

@Lord of Liberty. I see there's a new Invictus update releasing soon. A couple of minor fix requests if I may, as I assume this will be updated with the new Invictus update. There is a Character in Egypt, who's name is _malename and he has 9 military experience and is an Admiral. Is it possible to fix his name?

Also, this one is really just down to ocd but, I have noticed for some odd reason, when I load your mod, Lysimachos I Alkimachid and a few other Dacia kings/leaders lose their full name. As an example, Lysimachos becomes simply, Lysimachos. I did see if I could alter these records, but I'm not a modder nor do I want to tinker with somebody else's hard work lol.

@frotzy Good question^^ I planned to bring with the next Invictus update as I would need to work on it anyways but I have no idea when they will bring the next update. The changes on my next update wouldn't need a restart but most Invictus ones do as they often change the world map. Maybe I will release the Beta at the end of my vacations in around 4-5 weeks when I am done with all three mechanics I will bring with it :)

@frotzy Hi, HIP is fully integrated and reworked from scratch as I added a lot to it and fixed a lot of bugs. As long as you keep your load oder slim like in my recommendation you should not get any problems. Beta version will come with next very big update btw

Is the historical pack submod for Invictus integrated into this?

How stable is the mod? Thinking of starting a long playthrough, maybe over a month or so, with your list of recommended mods (including the timeline extension). Is that safe to do or will I run into CTDs? (Only asking since its in alpha)

@Lord of Liberty, Ahhhhhh I thought as much! (with the marriage mod) I am excited for the next update, I generally always play as a Monarchy lol. Thrace or the Diadochi in general are my favourite playthroughs haha.

It is exciting to hear the TI team are looking at integrating key aspects of your mod, as Imperator really is half the game, without your mod tbh lol

@Karma Chameleon Thanks for the kind words! No, you shouldn’t use this marriage mod, as all character interactions related to marriage are tightly integrated with various mechanics I’ve added—like the priesthood and the betrothal system. In the next big update, I’m adding the ability to control minor characters' marriages if you're playing as a monarchy. For republics, though, I want to stall the role-playing aspect and limit player power, keeping the focus on politics. 😄

As for Terra Indomita... As far as I know, the Indomita team is already working on implementing some features from my mod, like the family tree. A full merge would probably take a lot of time, and right now, I’m focusing on Invictus—especially knowing that another Invictus update will mean a lot more work for me again.

Hello my favourite mod creator! I wanted to ask, The mod I have linked below is more marriages, I see you have integrated within your mod, an expanded marriage network. Does that mean the below mod is unneeded as you've already integrated a similar mechanic, or is it still safe to use with your mod? I ask as the idea of more marriage candidates for late game, is great haha.

I also wanted to ask, Do you think it would be difficult to patch your mod, with the likes of Terra Indomita. I know they are not compatible at this stage, but I'd love to try my hand at making a compatch, with your permission, if you think it is attainable? At this stage I refuse to play TI as I simply dont enjoy the game as much, without the beautiful city artwork, terrains, UI and religion of your mod (to name just a couple) Imperator for me, has become unplayable without reanimata haha.

just checked for another countries with new game - no option for ruler to arrange marriage, only through ambition, for different ages and health conditions
btw, marriage trough ambition just generating spouse with no specific bloodline trait from chosen family to marriage with (if family has the one)

@Souperviel well to fix the vanilla event I would need to know the Event id.
The ci is working for Monarchies. I just tested it yesterday. Do you use other mods maybe?
