You DEFINETLY need to make more of these levels! Very fun, and I like three things in this: Multiple small challenges, Not too easy yet not too hard, and each level adds more to a chain reaction. 10/10!

Geilomat! Very very good job! I looove ball games! Just looking at the ball flying around was amazing! And the 3 things to do are good: not too easy but not unsolvable. I like it!

I get that Portal 2 is a puzzle game but for me the only difficulty in a puzzle is to understand it and that is up to the map maker, if he wants the player to be lost and frustrated, or have him think for a long time that's his design intention, mine was to keep it cool and very intuitive and so far I haven't seen a player get stuck in a room

You should give the map another go sometime it has seen major improvements since your video :)

This is and will be my only map, by study I meant class project for my studies my bad, here's a little more about that:

We each had to make a level in a team of 5, my level is right at the tipping point of difficulty; the two previous levels were very friendly and instructive and the two following were very intense and hostile, mine was the icing on the cake, the easiest and most rewarding rooms out of all of them, the reward being a little show performed by the machine.

I was very pleased to see that many players found it easy and enjoyable as this was my main goal.

It was sunday evening. ;)

I cannot understand why the bigger part of mapping newbies (no negative aspect) want to make a "game" like this and not a puzzle.
I can give you the result of your little study: Yes, about 70% of the portal players are not smart enough, to solve medium or hard puzzles and they will vote maps with a higher difficulty down. Not because the maps are bad or have bugs, no, because they don't understand it.

Really sad ...thats the big question of your study, isn't it? ;)

Portal 2 is a game, a puzzle game. ^^ ...don't get it. :D

Good night ...maybe I will check your other maps later

Thanks BlumCole for the feedback, that was the intention of the map, to be a game rather than a puzzle.
It's for a study project my level is number 3 out of 5, it was supposed to be really easy and enjoyable because the two levels following (made by other students) were really hard and frustrating.

I don't know exactly when you recorded your playthrough but I fixed a few issues with the map just yesterday, removed that companion cube and added droppers for the third room. I had reached the prop limit on my last upload which explains the lack of droppers previously, I'm still trying to fix the middle part of the room, whenever I add a part to this map, the machine breaks somewhere totally unrelated.
Unfortunately due to the physics of this game the machine will never be 100% accurate but if I want to keep this design there's no going around it

Sorry, I had to split my comment in to parts, because it has exceed the max. allowed characters

The points:
*it was a little bit funny, but not really a puzzle ...it was ok
*the idea is cool, but the implementation isn't perfect
*which role plays the companion cube and how it came in the big room? oO
*the mechanism with the ball is very random ...on some parts it's very annoying (i had to repeat the respawn three times)
*your map is unsolvable if the playtester destroys a laser cube (you can see it in room 3) -> don't forget cube dropper for the respawn ;)

Hey there,

I played the "best 10 of the last week" at the workshop and recorded all gameplays/blindruns.

Gameplay: https://youtu.be/bH34UeUAfpI (sorry, I had to restart your map, because my pingtool was buggy and didn't close itselfs.)
Please have a look at the description, you can find a timestamp for your map.

It's not my intention to vote down or up only, it's more important to increase your understanding to make a better map.
I want to give you feedback to your map. What is good and was not?
Maybe a way to make it better, if I have an idea. :)

I hope you accept my critique and ...maybe your map will get an update or you adapt what you have learned to your next map?! ;)

Keep it up!

PS: If you searching for a beta tester ...I would be glad to help you ...and anyone else.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, I've heard many comments about the machine not completing itself which does happen.. I tested the circuit over a few hundred times, sometimes it'll fail twice in a row, sometimes it'll run perfectly over fifty tries, mostly due to bouncing right before hitting a faith plate but there was no way around that would keep my initial project idea.
I was able to fit in 80% of what I wanted in this room, I had reached the prop limit when I started designing the third room which explains the lack of difficulty in it.
I'm glad many of you appreciated the map, it sure was fun making it ! :)

Part 2:

In all, a very creative and fun map, definetely reccomending this. Keep up the amazing work! :)

This is perhaps one of the most unique maps I've ever played. Not too challenging but not too easy either, makes you think a little bit. And at the end you get to watch all of your work get put together as the lead up to your exit as the ball flys around. Amazing. Where most maps would just link up the three catchers to the door and call it a day, you went the extra mile by adding the stylish finish and I applaud you for that. Wonderful work, keep it up.

The only thing though, at the end it decided to glitch a whole bunch of times so it took about 5 or 6 tries for the ball to get in it's right place. But I understand that it's not possible to make it perfect with no failures guaranteed without significantly reducing the epicness of the ending, and you did a great job with what you had. It'd certainly be 10 million times better than anything I could dream of making.
Martae 29 Mar, 2016 @ 12:14am
wow one of the most fun maps ive played!
Pine_Thorn 28 Mar, 2016 @ 6:25pm

That was awesome, great work! :D
BEAN 28 Mar, 2016 @ 6:04pm
My ball is not moving :steammocking:
Temüjin 28 Mar, 2016 @ 5:07am
Dont be afraid to start over. Sometimes the ball get stuck at the end. Just send in a new ball, it is not that hard.
Temüjin 28 Mar, 2016 @ 5:06am
I really liked this one. Everyone should play this mod.
Hajmat 28 Mar, 2016 @ 2:44am
good
Matecito Cosmico 27 Mar, 2016 @ 11:51pm
Amazing! Do more maps like theses!
Abraham L. | 1001 27 Mar, 2016 @ 4:12pm
Great map dude, loved it
alexwel 27 Mar, 2016 @ 9:24am
Nice map, but by the first try I got one of the laser cubes to far to the rear, therefore I couldn't grab that one anymore to move it to the right place. I had to start over again to get it right.
KeyTwea 26 Mar, 2016 @ 2:33pm
in the 3rd room if you break one of the laser reflective cubes you dont get it back imposible to beat then maybe a dropper for it
chewyperson 26 Mar, 2016 @ 1:11pm
a few reliability issues with sphere that opens the door, but otherwise, great
Metabloxer 26 Mar, 2016 @ 12:15pm
seems wellmade, but many wasy to lose all progress. I actually found a way to die, and all my progress was gone, and then I destroyed one of the cubes that redirect lasers, and I didn't get another.
Valdengrin 26 Mar, 2016 @ 9:02am
Неплохая карта)
arte de la puerta 25 Mar, 2016 @ 9:56pm
your map has a glitch... the ball is stucked near the second laser...
Richard L 25 Mar, 2016 @ 7:29pm
The glitch that I found was that in the double caged reflector cubes room .One of the reflector cube was destroyed and I had no way to get another so I had to start over
awfL 25 Mar, 2016 @ 6:40pm
cant get chamber two, very fun map though would be nice to have a walkthrough on this page :steamhappy:
dven1 25 Mar, 2016 @ 6:33pm
Nice map, well made and lit. The 3 puzzles were fun and the ball went where it should 1st try. Thanks for your work.
gwa gwa 25 Mar, 2016 @ 4:35pm
This is a really nice chamber. I like the idea of seeing what happens while having miniature puzzles to unlock the machine. Nice work!
Ginden 25 Mar, 2016 @ 12:55pm
Innovative, but it's possible to get stuck in middle chamber - just can just drop two cubes down.
R3dHood46 25 Mar, 2016 @ 3:53am
good:steamhappy:
wildgoosespeeder 24 Mar, 2016 @ 3:02pm

Paul Dirac 24 Mar, 2016 @ 1:41pm
You map have a glitch! :D

amazing!!!
Jabbablob 24 Mar, 2016 @ 4:51am
Brilliant :)
gabo 24 Mar, 2016 @ 4:11am
Needs many tries for the ball to actually open exit
ozchamp.wgt 23 Mar, 2016 @ 3:37pm
This is the second of 2 rooms that I selected from the Top 30 Most Popular of Week, neither of the 2 rooms had any green stars.

My walk thru can be found at https://youtu.be/FBcYDzteUYc , this room had 3 nice little test rooms that were imaginative, didn't need the ball as exit opened after completing test rooms, recommended as author must have spent a lot of time making.

Why not try my latest room that can be found at http://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=651314945 , it's visually striking but easy to play.
Lautaro 23 Mar, 2016 @ 10:57am
I have solved the trhree puzzle rooms, but the ball system needs to be improved. I had to pulberize the ball many times to get the exit door open.
dcook 23 Mar, 2016 @ 9:44am
nice job :-) kind of a shame faith plates aren't more reliable....
Murphy 22 Mar, 2016 @ 12:08pm
OMG its very very very good job you are pro :p2aperture:
