Description
Introduction
This mod is part of a broader "Rebalanced" lightweight mods series. (A breakdown from the former "Rebalanced +" mod)

I essentially made each mechanism its own submod so that players could pick only the aspects they want to see modified/added.

Indeed, everyone has a different idea of what needs tweaking in the vanilla game and what does not.

"Why not make everything Game Rule ?" one might ask ; i felt like having those as separate mods would make it easier from a player's perspective, as most people don't even bother tweaking the game rules.

It's also a little easier maintenance-wise on my end, and - I feel - more readable for players. You'll know exactly what you're modifying from your subscriptions/playsets.

Mod content

Not much to say apart from : take a look below, and yes, I find the difficulty modes abysmally poorly implemented in Vanilla so here's my version.

The idea is to affect things in a way that don't feel straight out like "YOU CANNOT USE THIS FEATURE ANYMORE COS IT'S NERFED TO THE GROUND LULZ" but more to buff the AIs in more aspects but less drastically, and nerf the player in the same manner.

  • -15% Mercenary hire cost

Hard Difficulty Penalties (Player)

OTHER CHANGES
  • Disembark Penalty is now -5 Advantage (from -30) (The AI is far too clueless and abusable with -30)
  • Removed the Ransom penalties for the player (far too harsh ; use this instead)
  • Most Maluses from Costs removed (Activities mainly)
  • The other ones went from -60% / -80% to -25% / -50% or -50% / -75% to -25% / -50% (Herd, Provisions)
  • Made some stuff that was free for the AI actually cost 20% / 10% of its normal values or more (for Tournaments tuned down the discount from -50% / -75% to -25% / -50%)
  • Removed the Knight Effectiveness Player penalty

Idk how i feel about removing MAA maintenance bonuses from AI, those are imo one of the better ones to keep.
I like player debuffs though. Tyranny and stress ones should've been in vanilla for sure, but idk how to feel about -stats
