@ancientlover712 Look in the "LMF Compatibility" discussion for more info, but I've made effort to at least make LMF semi-compatible with AGOT.
ancientlover712 18 hours ago
Has anyone tried this mod with AGOT? I really would like to try this out but I've had issues with bigger mods influencing event pop-ups.

@daniela.kemp I've literally never had a problem marrying off any adult daughter in my playtests - but, then, I don't restrict her to marrying men much younger than she is. I'm not sure why that appears to be your primary criteria.

I could raise the limit a bit on the absolute -1000 penalty part - there's already a separate penalty when attempting to betrothe a woman over the age of 20 to a child, anyhow, I suppose. I wouldn't do it by much, however, so if you're somehow unable to find a match now you're not likely to do it then, either. Sorry.
daniela.kemp 8 Jul @ 3:19am
Thank you for the response @Rylock! I think the penalty is -1000 for an age difference equal or greater than 10years. Which makes betrothals impossible. Would it be possible to have a lower penalty here? Like 8-11 years it's -50, 12-15 years it's -150 and only for 16years and above it's actually -1000. For me it was impossible to find partners (outside of the court) for young adult women of my house multiple times because any eligble male over the age of 11 is already betrothed, and so I have to look for younger boys. This happens most often if a previous betrothal/marriage ended due to early death of the groom.
Rylock  [author] 7 Jul @ 8:51pm
@daniela.kemp I'll take another look at where the line is set for older women, but I doubt you'll see it changing much mainly because it IS quite important not to have such a large age gap - and it simply wasn't done, to boot. The problem with women having such a comparatively narrow window to have children, I suppose.

As for turning the visit into an entire event chain - well, yes, if I had enough time to write all the associated events, it could be done. I'd once toyed with the idea of making a "visit relatives" activity, complete with a bunch of random events that would allow relatives to catch up with each other. That it didn't get done boiled down to me spending my time doing other things I found more interesting, is all.
daniela.kemp 7 Jul @ 9:50am
Another suggestion: your mod introduces inviting far-away spouses to visit. Could they perhaps stay for at least a month or two? It's nice that they come over for a try at heir making, but leaving after one night makes that feel like a short stop at a motel. There should be some events while the visiting spouse is there! There could be a family feast - with some possible parts about seeing children again/for the first time, there could be discussions about children's education, about at which court a child should live, or possibly even a big fight about that situation not being sustainable, and trying to force the spouse in the weaker position (so female in patrilinear- , male in matrilinear marriage) to abdicate and become a support-spouse. Also, visiting husbands should maybe pose a question why their landed wife had a child a year ago, after he hasn't seen her for 3 years. And maybe, if they pose that question, they could also adress the issue of inheritance of said child.

Hey, I love your mod!
But may I suggest adding a gameplay rule for your tweaks regarding marriage acceptance? The penalities for visible deformation and betrothing older females with younger males are too large for my liking. Being scaly or clumb-footed should not make marriage between an emporer's heir and a count's second daughter all but impossible. Also, betrothing a teenaged girl with a boy 6,7,8 or even 9 years younger should be possible. I get that the mod aims to reduce unrealistic marriages with little chance of offspring, but a noble woman getting married between 22 to 26 is not 'much too old'! Can there perhaps be a lesser penalty for age differences that are large but not extreme like 6-10 years?
finallyciv 7 Jul @ 6:10am
It's not perfect (especially AMF, which is tricky because of German grammatical gender) but here you and others can find the AI-assisted translation of your mod: https://cs2bus.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3355568022
If you'd like, you can extract the files and add them to your own mod. However, my aim is to keep it updated for as long as possible.

I feel arrange a courtship should give better gameplay rewards. Such as:

* Random lowborn or minor noble seeking liege's permission to marry, when permission is granted, liege gets a strong hook for 10 years on the courtier and a weak hook on the spouse.
* Betrothal or marriage of the liege's children resulted from a good match-up in the courtship should grant liege a perpetual (yellow) hook on the child.
Rylock  [author] 29 Jun @ 4:22am
@鸟脑袋 Ah, good spot! Just as a note, this is an issue with the notification event - the visit was still invalidated for some reason, it's just that it's wrong about why. I'll fix that.
鸟脑袋 29 Jun @ 3:23am
I noticed that the courtiers of landless rulers can be selected as candidates for arrange introduction. However, when they arrive at my court, the system notifies me that their liege is not a ruler and the introduction process terminates.
EviLive 28 Jun @ 2:24am
yes and thank you
Rylock  [author] 27 Jun @ 9:13pm
@EvilLive Assuming you mean ANSF3, then yes. It's included with LMF.
EviLive 27 Jun @ 5:27pm
so if using this no need for SF3 at all right?
Rylock  [author] 25 Jun @ 6:21pm
New version is up - fixes some issues brought up below, plus some work on the marriage AI, the identification of heirs/pretenders, and a few other things.
Rylock  [author] 25 Jun @ 6:20pm
@brans.mags92 I've done some work to add compatibility - check out the "LMF Compatibility" discussion for more info.
brans.mags92 25 Jun @ 5:51pm
does this work well with agot?
Rylock  [author] 25 Jun @ 4:17pm
@Altsinn Automatic guardian assignation applies to everyone, if the game rule allows for it.
Altsinn 25 Jun @ 10:49am
@Rylock - great mod! I have one question though. Are guardians automatically assigned for player and AI or is it player only feature? I’m asking cuz vanilla AI do a very poor job in this area and better evaluation would definitely help it
Rylock  [author] 17 Jun @ 4:45pm
@blazeknave Hey, no worries. I'm not put out or anything - always happy to do some work even if it's just to make one person happy, I just know my limits... and the ANSF3 code is getting a little convoluted at this point, which makes my desire to keep poking at it a bit limited. ;)
blazeknave 17 Jun @ 4:39pm
@Rylock - totally understand. Not really asking - explaining my ambiguity from the earlier comment. I appreciate you maintaining what you are already doing.
Rylock  [author] 17 Jun @ 4:30pm
@blazeknave Yes, the whole "Create Family" interaction was just an adaptation of the base ANSF3 system - so it needs a court I can point to (either the character themselves or their liege) and isn't really set up for elaborate roleplaying. I've made some adjustments over time to accommodate folks like yourself who want to set up elaborate family trees, but honestly it's not something I'm interested in putting a lot of time into. I almost didn't make the interaction, period, save for one user begging me to do so.
Rylock  [author] 17 Jun @ 4:23pm
@Klaus If you mean a non-Steam version, then no.
blazeknave 17 Jun @ 4:13pm
"non-ruler/court" >>> if a character *is* noble but neither a ruler nor our courtier, they cannot have family generated - at least that's what I thought until reading "Do you mean characters in the pool? Yeah, then nobody has a court to be put in" I'm thinking I happenstance ran into "not member of court" on hovering the character interaction by choosing a random noble wandering, and interpreted as "must be in YOUR court" but that character was just not in ANY court?
blazeknave 17 Jun @ 4:13pm
@Rylock thanks for explaiing. my simpleton brain is like - "just copy and paste the part from giving title to lowborn" - I know it's never that easy! Prob easier for me to just enable the lowborn ennoblement mod and edit a local copy to zero cost.

"there's little point in creating aged parents who will die almost immediately" >> I'd challenge this statement
- current implementation can create dead parents, which I've even seen it do with parents in their 50s (maybe late 40s too iirc)
- I'm fine with dead, even in a situation where someone died 50 years ago - I'm doing this for roleplay. filling out my corner of gameplay world with additional families. typically this may be a spouse early on to generate their entire family with cousins and multiple generations.
Klaus 17 Jun @ 11:03am
is there a download anywhere?
Rylock  [author] 15 Jun @ 8:27am
@blazeknave If you're referring to ANSF3, lowborns would need a resetting of a fair amount of code, since the assumption currently is that *someone* has a dynasty, and I haven't gotten around to it - probably never will. As for the cut-off at 65, it's mainly because there's little point in creating aged parents who will die almost immediately, so 65 is an arbitrary limit but I'm sticking to it.

Not sure what you mean by non-ruler/court? Do you mean characters in the pool? Yeah, then nobody has a court to be put in. I could amend the code for that, I suppose, but it's like lowborns - it would take a fair amount of work, and I'm not really interested.
Rylock  [author] 15 Jun @ 8:23am
@鸟脑袋 It's certainly not unusual, since they're past the age of child-bearing. Normally they're only going to find candidates within their own court.
blazeknave 15 Jun @ 7:26am
Working now! Any reason we can't unlock >65, lowborn, non-ruler/court?
鸟脑袋 15 Jun @ 5:25am
I've noticed that females over 40 can't find candidates for arrange introduction. Is this a bug or intended design?
cuomo860 15 Jun @ 12:50am
@Rylock. Yeah, the rule by default is set to deactivated.
Rylock  [author] 14 Jun @ 10:52pm
@blazeknave So your game rules were reset, possibly from the update? I didn't change the game rules, but maybe that's just a by-product of the files being updated at all. At any rate, good to know! Thanks.
Rylock  [author] 14 Jun @ 10:51pm
@Solitude You're quite welcome!
blazeknave 14 Jun @ 11:06am
Ahhhh - the game rules flipped back to locked down; maybe from update? either way, generated new game, and working again. Leaving previous comment in case I'm not alone in my ignorance.
blazeknave 14 Jun @ 10:31am
@Rylock massive fan of this mod, TY! I noticed the last couple days I've lost the Create Family character interaction when creating a new game. Same mod collection, no changes. Strangely, loading a saved game from when it was working, it still works. Even if I add additional mods and change the collection, that loaded save still has the character interaction. Did anything change to have done this? (Going to crosspost on ANSF3 as well in case anyone else runs into this bug.)
Solitude 14 Jun @ 8:44am
I can't thank you enough for this mod. It's one of my staples in practically every playthrough. Thanks for all the work you put into it. You've made CK3 that much more of an enjoyable experience.
Rylock  [author] 13 Jun @ 1:31am
@Redemption ObfusCKate hasn't been updated since last year. I doubt it's usable at this point, never mind compatible with anything.
Redemption 12 Jun @ 9:53pm
do you know if this and ObfusKate mod would be incompatible?
Rylock  [author] 12 Jun @ 6:40pm
@finallyciv I appreciate that. Thank you!
finallyciv 12 Jun @ 6:47am
@Rylock, I want to express my sincere appreciation for your work. It’s one of my all-time favorites, and I thoroughly enjoy witnessing its continuous growth and evolution.
Rylock  [author] 10 Jun @ 4:32pm
@Barracuda That's the "Worthy Commander" modifier, I believe.
Rylock  [author] 10 Jun @ 4:29pm
@curtwine Yep, making friends with knights while at camp is indeed one of the new events - and you got them on an existing save, you say? Good to know!

As for your suggestions, the ability to invite your lover/spouse to visit exists because otherwise the realistic pregnancy system would make children for such separated couples impossible. I wouldn't add regular abilities to "lay with spouse" because, honestly, those feel to me more like a player just wanting a "give baby now" button and don't really add anything more. If I added it, I'd need it to do something a bit more than just that.
Barracuda 10 Jun @ 7:53am
What is the name of the modifier that allows female characters to fight?
curtwine 10 Jun @ 7:17am
@Rylock: Thank you for this amazing mod - it adds a tremendous amount of immersion to the game! Truly indispensable. On my existing save I had a couple of recent events fire where I made friends with people who were on military campaign with me. I'm not sure if this was part of your new changes or not - it seemed like they were specific to the army setting. I have not seen the camp follower or bastard event yet. I see that there is a way to invite your lover to visit you if they live in another court. Will there be a way to actively initiate a visit to your lover at their court? Also, will there be a way to actively initiate an encounter with your lover if they are in the same location - similar to the "lay with your spouse" mods (not necessarily for pregnancy but for RP)? I like the lover events you have added but I also enjoy events that you can trigger yourself with an appropriate location check and cool down. Looking forward to whatever new ideas you come up with!
Zincau 10 Jun @ 6:33am
then I can say this: new save files are not affected by these changes. Because after installing the new patch I encountered hundreds of events but I did not see any new ones. I would especially like to encounter this bastard event. Because you really thought it out very well.
A piece of advice: When a war ends, the leader of the losing side should also travel, not teleport to your palace, he/she should also be given a chance to escape.
A very nice mod. Thank goodness you exist :)
Rylock  [author] 10 Jun @ 6:07am
@Zincau I'm honestly not sure what happens with new game rules applied to existing saves. Assuming it gave you the default rule, it's just a matter of time before your ruler gets one - assuming they're commanding an army, not in your capital county, not infirm, and either marching or sieging (you don't receive army events when in battle or when raiding).

Keep in mind that not all the events relate to sleeping with camp followers and such. Some are about sieges, making friends/enemies with fellow soldiers, encountering strangers, etc. You can see a couple of examples in the first screenshots at the top of the page.
Zincau 10 Jun @ 5:31am
are those new changes effecting ongoing save games, because i never match with sleeping soldires or bastards coming with it??
Barracuda 9 Jun @ 11:17pm
@Rylock, Thanks for the quick work!
Rylock  [author] 9 Jun @ 10:55pm
@Barracuda Okay, pass is done. The new version should be up to date with the loc changes.
Rylock  [author] 9 Jun @ 5:00pm
@Hendrixx Thanks! Let me know if you encounter any problems. So far, the army events appear to be working pretty well - I tested them pretty thoroughly - but you never know.
