Introduction
So you just tick level 40, or you're a returning player that haven't been around for quite awhile, and you want to know what you can do with this new found power. I would recommend that you should set a goal, whether its getting the best gear set in the game, gathering all the costume pieces, collecting devices, or simply just get rich. I'll give you a brief description of each of the content available, along with a link that would lead to a specific thread detailing these content.

If you want to know how to setup for end game content, I would recommend looking into these following links:

In terms of rewards, Silver Champions Recognition (SCR) and Gold Champions Recognition (GCR) are the most valuable currencies in the game because the best gear set in the game require these two currencies. Most of the content in this game drop Silver Champions Recognition. You can turn in these currencies to the Champion Recognition Vendor found in the Recognition Vendor area. To a lesser extend, there are Globals, which are the "Gold" of this game, and Questionite, which has it own store and can be use to convert to Zen aka the Cashshop money. Devices, costume pieces, certain gear set, action figures, auras, and mods, and device are possible rewards from specific kinds of content.

I would recommend joining the End Game Channel and Trade, former for discussing endgame it self, lfg, and catching the cosmic timer. The latter is for trading.

I would also highly recommend you join the one or both of the two CO DISCORDs

Cosmic Monster

Cosmic are giant monsters that act like open world raids. These fights require a coordination of many players in specific roles and strategy to defeat these colossal juggernauts. At the moment, there are three giant monsters that are consider cosmic tier:

  • Kigatilik[i.imgur.com]: The Demon of the Devouring Cold: Located at Lynx's Fold, Canada.
  • Qwyjibo[i.imgur.com]: The Mountain Walks: Located at Echinocos Shore, Monster Island.
  • Teleiosaurus[i.imgur.com]: The Rampage of Teleiosaurus: Located at Slither Beach, Monster Island.

Arguably, it one of the most popular way to obtain both SCR and GCR. Be sure to talk to Until Liaison Irwin to obtain the cosmic daily. Be also sure to ask Until Liaison Irwin for an instant port to these cosmic monster's location. Doing so will open a respawn at the location by default. This is where you can potentially get a Cosmic Secondary Gear at the reward circle. I would recommend going to the following link for a full detailed analysis of these cosmic:

Tips for Giant Monsters + Eidolon
Therakiel's Temple

Therakiel's Temple is currently the most difficult Lair/Dungeon in the game. In this lair, you face off against Therakiel and his attempt to restart the apocalypse. You will face off 4 of his lieutenants before you can face the fallen angel himself. This require your best performance, along with 4 other equally skilled players, to defeat this Lair. The rewards are great, but can you beat it?
Teleios Ascendant

Teleios is using all the data gather from his Onslaught Villian experiment to perfect himself to become the ultimate man. This difficult Lair consist of fighting many bosses with their own mechanic and a whole lot of team work. Having roles is require to have a successful run within this Lair. You do these to get SCR and GCR with the occasional Determination Secondary Gear drop. Links as follow:
Rampage

Rampages are special Alerts that rotate each after a certain amount of days. These alert require the most amount of players do these relatively difficult alerts, between 8 to 10 players. You do these alert to get Tokens require to get the Justice Gear set and SCR. For the complete Justice Set, you need the following:
Daily Alerts
Dailies is a common term for the quest given to the three main alerts: Grab, Burst, and Smash. The Daily Quest rotate between doing 3 grabs, 3 burst, 3 smash, and one of each call APB. The reward is about 5 SCR upon completion. I would suggest going to the following link to know what you're facing against:
Alert Bosses and how to make them less painful
SMASH Alert
Speaking of Alerts, the SMASH alert itself is a decent source of Global. They're usually quick and require little effort to farm Global with this route. Simply queue for a SMASH alert and finish it. I would highly recommend wearing gears that give you a resource boost, like the Mercenary/Remarkable set or the Aurum Set, Resource boost item obtain from the auction house or the lockbox, resource buff from the Alert Green Dragon or GRAB all the Money and Run, and/or the buff from the SMASH alert itself for maximizing Globals per run.
Custom Alerts: Vigilance
These custom alerts are alerts that are part of a large rotation that change every week. The difficulty varies from alert to alert, but they’re all tie to the quest, Vigilance. Vigilance is a quest that rewards you 6000 questionite ore and some SCR/UNTIL recongnitions by doing any of these alerts 3 times within the week. Each Custom Alert has their own daily quest that reward the player 5 SCR for completing it for the day. Each of these Custom Alerts also has a varieties of rewards only found in those alerts. The list are as follow:
  • Forum Malvanum: An arena based Alert where you fight wave after waves of opponent right until you face Firewing.
  • FATAL ERROR: Cybermind: The final arc of the FATAL ERROR questline. You take down a hacker that was harrassing SOCRATES.
  • GRAB the Money and Run : Your group fight a room full of thug and the GRAB in order to prevent their robbery.
  • Green Dragon: You save Red Snake's butt from Green Dragon because he utterly useless.
  • Red Winter: You stop the Red Winter from launching the Nukes at Area 51.
  • Harmon Labs: Retake the lab from Warlord. This is where the Depleted Uranium Core mod drops.
  • Red Banner: You must prevent Hi Pan from ascending into his final form.
  • Save the Earth: One of the most recent addition to the Vigilance Lineup. You have to prevent your Nemesis from destroying the Earth. Arguably one of the hardest Custom Alert around and has 3 ways to complete it.
There is also a tracker if you want to know which character needs what, but you have to check mark it manually.

Qliphothic Warzone

The Qliphothic Warzone is a zone exclusively for level 40. Its meant to be THE area for endgame. Before you can enter the zone, you need to complete a simple quest, Hermes Revisited, given by Until Liaison Bradley. There are three important content within this zone you should know about:
  • Long War
The Long War Questline is a bunch of quests that have you interact with the zone itself. These quests reward a large amount of SCR. Completing the Long War require the player to complete the quest Nightwatch 5 times, which each Nightwatch requiring 5 Warzone daily quests. Completing the Long War allows you to purchase things that require the completion of this quest in the GCR store.

The Open Mission in the Warzone consist of three OM bosses, Oubliette, Slug, and Portal Guardian. With a decent team players, the OM is a nice source of SCR. If your team manage to beat all three OM before their cooldown timer reset...
At the start of the game, Shadow Destroyer was hype up to be the cause of many problem surrounding all the Crisis story and eventually, the Vibora Bay Apocalypse. He is now ascended to become the Eidolon of Destruction. While one would consider him a cosmic monster, in a sense, he is a league of his own. He requires all three OM to be finish without having one of the OM being open. The fight itself require the largest amount of team play and coordination if you ever consider having some sort of victory. Because of this, Eido is one of the hardest fight in the game.
Events

Events are what they are, Events. They occur once or twice of month, or a specific month depending on the event. These Events host many daily quests, open world mission, and all other content all fit in a central theme, depending on the event. They generally give you costume pieces, vehicle, devices, and a whole lots of other goodies. These are the events found the game so far:
  • Winter Event: An event that happen during December and part of January. Black Harlequin decided to unleash his giant teddy bear to cause havoc into the local populace.
  • Nightmare Invasion: Strange otherworldly creatures have started invading Millennium City, and you need to stop them!
  • High Noon[i.imgur.com]: Mechanon decided to take control of Snake Gulch and liberated the robots that roaming the area.

  • Defender's National Training Program : For one week, you race your way to level 40 from a brand new character to get 2 exclusive token, which are use to obtain exclusive costume, and an dancing emote!
  • Therakiel's Temple Rampage (scroll down to the TT section): For one week, you get to queue and join with your fellow players an easy version of the Therakiel's Temple. The rewards are exclusive to these rampage alone!
Costume Building
With all the costume you earn, bought, or given, you might as well put them to good use. Champions Online has the highest amount of character customization in any MMO at the moment, more so than City of Heroes. You could spend hours making different kind characters, only limit to your imagination and the game limit. Its unheard of that players spend hours, if not days, playing around with the tailor.
Costume Contest

Costume Contest are contests hosted by many players for the best costume of the category. This is mostly a community made event, but a very consistent one. They tend to offer rewards to the best costume design in their category. You should join this channel to get your latest Costume Contest news and follow the link to see all the resources the subforum has to offer.

Onslaught Villain

Onslaught Villain is a pseudo PvP/PvE content that let you become one of three villains. You generally go around attacking players (you don’t) or killing targets to fill in your quota for the daily. You do these to get the OV secondary gear, which are some of the best secondary gear set in the game. At the moment, these is only a guide on

Nemcon and Nemesis system guide!
Lairs
Lairs are the dungeons of this game. Its a good idea to have a party of 5 players to do these lairs. At the moment, the there are 5 Lairs that offers SCR, one already mention, Teleios Ascendant. Lt. Morrigan has the daily for both Andrith Ruins and Factory, Caliburn has the daily for the Therakiels Temple, and M'ling has a daily for Rhinoplasty.
  • Teleios Ascendant
  • Andrith Ruins
  • Dr. Destoryer's Factory
  • Therakiels Temple
  • Rhinoplasty
Roleplaying

C.O.R.P.[championsonlineroleplayers.shivtr.com]
Where to RP
Mega Destroids Open Mission
An Open World Event in Millennium City that require a good amount of players to do. It consist of fighting Dr. Destoryer’s army, leading up to a fight against two Mega Destroids. Talk to Lt. Morrigan for the daily quest. Great for keeping your heroes busy in between Cosmics.
Serialized Series
Serialized Series is a storyline that is similar to an Adventure Pack. Death Rattle and Serene Abyss are their only story line so far. Following the questline allows you to get a good source of SCR and Questionite. You follow the questline by talking to Ladyhawke and discover the mystery she is seeking. There are plenty of Transformation, mods, and auras rewarded for those that keep up with the storyline.
Adventure Pack
Adventure Pack is the closest thing you will get to a storyline (the other being Crisis). You pick an Adventure Pack, and you follow the storyline like as if its a comic book. You generally get SCR from doing these if you pick up the daily from Defender and Until Liaison Bradley. These are the following:
  • Serpent Lantern
  • Demonflame
  • Resistance
  • Aftershock
  • Whiteout
Other Open Missions
There isn’t much to say about this other than that these three open mission can drop SCR, devices, and costume pieces only found in these unique open mission.
  • The Reign of Frogs can found in Canada. You have to defeat the Frogs, and later, their mothership, in order to finish this OM.
  • ASCIING For Trouble can be found in the Desert at Snake Gulch. You cause problem with the cowboy robots until Ascii decided to take you down, personally.
  • War on Peace, found in the Eastern most side of Millennium City. You fight wave after wave of fish people until their leader decided to join the fray.
  • Burden of Beastmen can be found north of the base camp in Monster Island. You fight wave after waves of Manimals until you defeat their boss, Chimera.
Steel Crusade
A Questline that gives the player SCR for completing many of the quests. Dr. Silverback, found in the northern part of the Millennium City, offer the start of this questline.
Unity and Unity 2
A questline that have you do stuff for the Unity. You only do this if you’re utterly and desperately need of SCR. When you hit level 40, you will receive a mail from Dr. White that would lead you to the UNTIL HQ. If, for some reason, you toss that away, you can talk to the Brad Playne right outside the UNTIL HQ to get an entry into the UNTIL HQ. You choose the first choice when you contact the UNTIL HQ's door. Talk to Dr. White, join Unity, then go to the terminal nearby and start the Hotspot quest. Unity 2 requires a whole bunch of requirement, like entering Vibora Bay, finishing 4 quest chain at Vibora Bay, finding the location of Unity 2 with the help of Akako Yamimori, and starting the Unity 2 questline. For reference, the game doesn't bother labeling the Unity 2's location, so here is short map of said location.

Idling in Rencen
The ultimate endgame. You stand around, usually in front of the MC Powerhouse Gate, and look important while you afk or watch a bunch of players duel each other. Great for alt-tabing.
Afterthought
This is a work-in-progress, but its a start. I thank you for reading this far and I hope you enjoy Champions Online!

I played like 10 years ago, something like that... got maxed out from the champ recognitions, all purples.... Played what I had considered all there was to the game. Is there enough to come back to it now? Every time I check their FB page updates, they all just seem to be cosmetics

I would not even include the revamped TT on this list since its so stupidly overtuned and buggy/badly done and half finished. Therakiel doesn't even have finished animations lol.
